This video is okay, but the long list of videos on your YT channel is EXTREMELY BORING. So boring in fact, that I could barely endure scrolling down the list. And from what I've seen in this video, you're not very good at speaking on camera and telling the viewers.... ANYTHING. I used to do a lot with Slant Sixes up until around 2004, that's how I could even watch this video.

Where did you get or how did you do the oil pump pick up
@terrylittlejohn Жыл бұрын
made it, i found that the -12 an line help restriction on the suction side! just welded a treaded bung in the oil pump cover. used a large flat file to level the cover after welding! the oil pan just welded a 1/2in treaded pipe into a stock pickup screen! i did upgrade to a swing pickup later!

I have an 84- heres the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3KogKqHpbyjhpo . When keeping the hydraulic lifters the preset on the lifters has to be set with custom push rods. 340 lifters will pump up over 4,000 rpm or 65 psi. even with 340 valve springs..010-,020' preload is all you can run

Number one, I hope that is an industrial block. But second, why in the world are you using a) a gmc blower. There's now much more efficient blowers out there and B) and most important why are you going into a stock manifold which mandates a 90 degree change of direction. Why not a custom manifold and a side mounted blower with like weber or some other advanced SIDE draft carbs?

Are you able to estimate just how much it cost to build a supercharged Slant Six? Are the parts still widely available? LOVE YOUR MOTOR!!!
@terrylittlejohn3 жыл бұрын
thanks! new parts build is in the $5000 usd range, aussie performance make a blower intake that you can bolt a 144 or 177 B&M style blower to with a single 4bbl carb, the motor mods are just keep stock piston just open ring gap to 0.24".Port the head and back cut the valves , replace the cam with a good rv style 114 centerline .450" to .500" lift, with 340 style springs, stock head gasket will work up to 7psi boost, steel shim my be 10psi, over that and you want head studs and solid copper gasket and o-ring the block! hope that helps!
