This series was the definition of showing the lack of fundamentals and poor managing by the Yankees. The Yankees could have easily taken 2 of these 5 games and could have made the series a lot more interesting if Boone hadn’t made a terrible bullpen call in game 1 and if the Yankees could actually field the ball. This Yankees team had the potential, but threw it away and it pains me as a Yankees fan.

Im a Dodger fan. I try not to biased. But yes, they were mismatched. Not so much from a talent aspect…..But EVERYF***gTHING else, mismatch. Defense,baserunning,control of the strike zone, and well, obviously their scouting dept. Padres were better,Mets were probably better,Phils. The Yankees played really bad ball all yr,and just made up for it with talent. That only takes you so far. Especially against the boys in blue.

Joe is correct. Mets were better. Padres were better vs. Dodgers in 2024. You can analyse the Yankees anyway you wants but they played substandard teams before L.A. Cole was hittable 100% and L.A. don't wake until after 4 innings anyhow. The Dodgers lost a game to S.D. same way they did the Yanks, huge runs acored on their pitching. But, those loses were reset games for Dave Roberts.
