You said that Heaven or Las Vegas was the musical manifestation of 4ADs vision. No The music is all The Cocteau Twins creation. 4AD had no influence on the music at all. The way The Cocteau Twins wrote songs was unusual, they didn't write songs together before hand, they put things together for the first time in the studio (according to interviews with the band members). Elizabeth Frazer came up with her vocals in the studio after only just hearing the music the others wrote. They had complete musical freedom and recorded whatever they wanted. Suggesting that this was 4ADs "musical manifestation" is silly.

On my way to see my first concert, the Beach Boys when I was 12, my brother was kind enough to warn me that Mike was a corny Ahole. He let me know that he would be wearing silly hats and pointing at the audience etc. After the band started, I thought that was really nice of him to warn me because Mike clearly did not understand the process, and seemed genuinely disrespectful of the relationship between audience and performer.

I'm not here to defend Mike Love or this performance, but it seems some of your criticisms might be misplaced. Whatever source you took this video from clearly did not have sound/visuals synched properly throughout. In some parts, it's synched fine; in other parts it's way off. So when you criticize John Stamos @ 4:34 for standing while we hear drums, this is one of those times where the synch is way off. Just look at the vocals that came right before it - you'll see Mike Love's lip movements are nothing like the vocals we're hearing. Also, look back @2:42 and you'll see the same thing. PS - I realize this upload is 3 yrs old, and there are 559 other comments on this thread, so what I'm saying has most likely been brought up by someone else.
