We understand the lack of context 😂This is our daily surf report, we embed the videos to attach within our websites daily surf report. We originally used to have them all unlisted, but our customers requested to have them listed so they can see them on their KZbin pages. Hope this makes sense!

A list in which order what shapes were shown would help. Nice clip and good to see comparisons. Were they all the same liters or how were the models chosen to compare?
@zumajaysurfshop2 ай бұрын
Hey! This video is more of a creative piece just to showcase how many different Lib Tech Models we have, we always try and individually pick out models to explain a little bit more about them in separate posts. Nothing to compare in this video, just a quick showcase of the shapes. If you would like any info on the Lib Tech x Lost shapes, please feel free to ring us and we can help out with any questions you have! Our number is 01288 354956 (UK). Different shapes suit different types of surf and surfing styles. Thanks!

Hey! Sorry we use KZbin as one of our hosting platforms, we do explain a little more over on our Instagram. We will endeavour to spend more time on the short descriptions going forward! These are two very different boards. The Hydra is a hybrid/fish for small wave surfing. Low rocker on this one means easy early wave entry with plenty of width and surface area to easily catch small and mushy surf. It features a double concave chined hydra hull for pushing acceleration and grip through small surf. The Rocket Redux is another hybrid but more of a performance shortboard shape. Much more refined rails and rail rocker adds lift when on bigger waves with a deep middle concave for generating a lot of speed. That 'Rocket' tail allows for quick precise turning/turning when at speed. It's basically a performance board that is all about speed!

@@zumajaysurfshop wow. Did not expect you to follow up. Appreciate the explanation! Thanks a lot. My local dealer had the LIB Tech Hydra in store in my size/volume (1,90m with 5’7“ board 37,5L) and I bought it before reading your comment. As I am trying to climb up from lowest intermediate to some higher intermediate this should provide some fun and good wave catching. What I noticed though is that (due to the constraints of LIB Tech construction maybe?!?) the Hydra Hull is not really prominent anymore. If you look at the original Lost Hydra you see the rail is a LOT more refined. Will be interesting to see how I will find the rails to bite (or not). Thought about getting the rocket redux as a little one board quiver but supposedly it is „skaty“ instead of surfy and Hydra should be easier to progress with. Maybe with some more skill and experience something like the little wing might be a good addition for upper end when I need less support and forgiveness. Lets see…. Wish you guys good luck with all endeavours and thanks for following up! Stoked to see your future shorts with added description

@@AAkCN1 Hey! Awesome hope you enjoy the Hydra! The Lib Tech version does differ a little bit, as it's a fraction thicker and a tad more volume than the PU counterpart. This may effect the shape a little too as PU shapes you can generally get a little more definition out of them compared to an epoxy composite board like a Lib Tech. But the pay off for this is the incredible durability and versatility. When looking at a new board to progress it's important to see what you want out of the board and where you want it to take you, this will help choose which board you are after. For instance just like these two, one is for small waves and one is for down the line speed on big clean surf. Having a board that is all out made for acceleration will make it skatey as it's not fine-tuned enough to pivot smoothly. A 'one board' quiver is tough when it comes to short boards but to make it work for you, you need to be realistic with what style of surf you are using and what size waves you're on most of the time. Being in Cornwall, we have big messy onshores most of the time so bigger boards work much better for us here. This is why the Lib Techs are great to push that extra bit of float to catch more unpredictable surf we have. Hope this helps!
@AAkCN12 ай бұрын
@@zumajaysurfshop appreciate it and agree. I now understand that "skaty" phrase better. Thanks! I'll have some fun with smaller waves and indoor waves until I progressed enough. Only then I want to give the big stuff a chance haha

We've had some awesome feedback from a couple of local customers on the Tuflite version. They love the winged outline as it gives them easily turning off the tail, and easy to paddle thanks to the volume pushed towards the front. It's actually a great all-rounder for more intermediate to advanced longboarders!

does it need the wax to be warm or is it as effective n cold wax in the winter.
@zumajaysurfshop10 ай бұрын
Either with this to be honest, you can put a lot more pressure on it much easier due to the ergonomics, so hard wax is much easier with this than a comb!

Putting FCs fins in future boxes ?
@zumajaysurfshop10 ай бұрын
Most Lib Techs are made with their own boxes, which fit FCS II. These boxes don't fit Futures fins. You can get the odd rare Lib Tech made specifically with Futures boxes though (The FC Model it's called)
