Whenever I follow this guide it used to work. Now I face the problem that my yarn gets caught underneath the blade and it doesn’t cut it. The yarn just piles up underneath the needle. Any tips??? The yarns so to speak wraps itself around the nut..

Thank you for the informative video. Going forward, it would be nice if you could film the tufting 🔫 gun to fill the screen. Zoom in so I can easily see the small details you are talking about. Your instructions were easy to follow and I liked that you wrote information as you were talking.

I am so happy I found this video! Your knowledge with the AK tufting gun is incredibly helpful! I do have a question if you don’t mind: If I use more than two yarn strands, for example, four total, would it make the cut pile thicker? Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼🙂
@TuftingloveАй бұрын
Hey :) so the amount of yarnstrands to use really depends on the thickness of your yarn. It has to fit through your needle hole, still move freely but not slip out all the time. Otherwise your machine will unthred constantly. So what changes is mainly the optics. 1 thick thread compared to lets say 30 super thin ones, give you a very different look and feel. I would always recommend to fill the hole of the needle with as many threads of your chosen yarn as possible in order to make sure, your yarn does not slip out, the tuftingcloth is filled properly and also you have to tuft less lines. Because the lines, as you said, get thicker. but also there is a limit, because of the needle hole size. so it always makes sense to try out different amounts when starting to tuft with a new yarn. I hope this answers your question :)

Sometimes the screws get super stuck. try to put a bit of oil/Lubricant on the screw and you're usually able to unscrew it.

Hi Jenny, I love your videos. I am having some trouble after I changed the gun to loop, when I changed back to cut, it’s not working properly anymore. The yarn it’s not going trough the needle, it keeps going on the side and than it gets stuck. Do you know why that happens? I truões to fiz and assemble all the parts again, but it keeps happening
@poppyvangijzen248414 күн бұрын
I once had this and i took everything out the loop of the needle and cleaned it all. Because of buildup the yarn was stuck

Heeey! I recently bought a machine to start tutfting. But I have a question, the piece that is supposed to cut…doesnt cut hahaha ☠️ is it related to the thickness of the wool/yarn? Cause in the end there is a loop finish 🥲

@Tuftinglove4 ай бұрын
Hey, if the gun fell, it's hard to tell without having the gun here. It could be anything from wrong settings (something moved during the impact) and a bendt part. Check it out by turing it by hand and check part after part. Sorry i can't help with more, but there are so many posibilities

Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’m wondering if my scissors might be rusty… Should I be able to open them and close them without any effort when they are out of the gun? I asked because my gears are not rotating freely, and I think it’s because the machine is having a hard time opening and closing the scissors

Do the nails that grip the primary fabric have to be in a angle? Or can it be 90° ?
@Tuftinglove7 ай бұрын
It can also be 90‘ the angle just helps you while stretching because the tuftingcloth slips over it. This makes it easier to stretch. it will still work with 90‘ nails tho.
