All this psychobabble stop the crap gay lesbians Trannies whatever you are you don’t need to change, but you do need to abstain especially if you’re gonna come near the Catholic Church and if you’re going to receive communion. There’s no questions about that actively living a gay lifestyle and having gay sex, and thinking you can partake in the Eucharist is an absolute travesty, and nobody should be supportive of that. Otherwise there is no Catholic Church.

Why isn't your pipe organ being used?? You have a fairly large pipe organ in the upstairs balcony that is most appropriate for leading a congregation in joyous hymn singing as it most appropriately would be for EASTER Sunday of all days. Is the organ not working? Do you not have an organist to play it? If not, then you should HIRE one. If the organ is not working (hopefully it is fully functional), then get it fixed.

Hello Ken! Sadly the organ needs some fixing in order to be functional and the fixing requires a very big budget. But we do have one of our members from the Music Ministry that plays the organ. We are hoping to get to it at some point because we do agree that it is a wonderful instrument to have and use. God bless you Ken.

Yes of course we should listen to people and meet them where they are. But then we should encourage them to repent and turn away from their sins especially mortal sins. Which you never talk about. Sex outside of marriage is a mortal sin according to the Church and that will never change, if you truly love these people you would want to help them return to a state of grace so that they can receive communion.

Thank you, everyone for putting together this beautiful service honoring Fr. Jack, Fr. Mike, Fr. Steve, and all the Jesuits who were of service to God here at Blessed Sacrament over the last 110 years. May these incredible men find love and joy in their new positions, and may we all increase our prayers for vocations to the religious life.

Hello, I am not a parishoner at Blessed Sacrament Church, but several months ago I attended a Mass there that was said by Father Mike and it was some special odd feast so there was food and social time on the patio afterwards. A special blessing to me was that his parents eventually sat at the table right near me and Father Mike joined them. We had friendly, enjoyable, enlightening conversation. I learned all about Father Mike’s journey to the priesthood. It was a wonderful time for me. I haven’t been back there yet, but was hoping to see Father Mike again - but not to be. God bless Father Mike in his new assignment and his parents. ❤

I love Father Frank, I miss him. He is wonderful, compassionate, kind. All of those priests are wonderful. Sometimes, my daughter and I would be walking on Sunset and we would see him outside Blessed Sacrament church with a large icebox full of food. He would approach the homeless people on the sidewalk and ask them, very gently, "are you hungry"? And the person would say "yes", and Father Frank would ask him, "would you like something to eat." Thank you Father Frank, for being so good. I am sure you are doing a very good job with Father Greg. God bless you and keep you.

Fr James Martin. Please don’t confuse people. The Catholic Church doesn’t Condemn people. In fact the church encourages them to look at Christ and discern.

Most of the Old Testament is fictional. We should focus on the New Testament, Jesus said, love one another. Jesus never said anything against gay people, not a word. Gays and lesbians are born that way and we have to accept them like the rest.

I think the most important question is, “Has sin changed?” And the answer is. “No”. I think it’s deceptive to sugarcoat sin. It’s wonderful to love and show compassion, but that’s a far cry from sugarcoating the teachings of the gospel. Conversion and allowing Christ to heal our brokenness is key. Telling people that they have nothing to change and they are perfect as they are is deceptive. Sanctification, healing of mind and body won’t happen if you prevent them from conversion. Also it’s curious that you didn’t draw the distinction that Fiducia suplicans drew between a sacrament of matrimony and a simple blessing. The truth will set us free. Love and truth are inextricably connected.
@leonorfontes57
@leonorfontes57 8 ай бұрын
Gays and lesbians don't have anything to change because they are born that way, they are not broken, as you put it, there is nothing to heal. Matrimony and blessing are the same thing. The priest blesses two people who love each other. It's not a sin to love.

That father is kinda rude when he speaks to the community after mass. He's also very dismissive. The other "main" father is very "HOLLYWOOD". Seems like he might've been an aspiring actor when he was younger. I pray that Blessed Sacrament be led by good, compassionate, humbling and KIND pastors. We have a beautiful community and we deserve the best!

What reason was given for the Jesuit order to leave? I was confirmed at Blessed Sacrament and sang in an outstanding choir there in the early 80s before moving to Europe. I will be visiting LA this month and plan to take my daughter to see Blessed Sacrament. I hope the parishioners keep it a thriving parish. I also hope you find a benefactor to bring the magnificent organ back to its former glory.

It's sad that you have to leave. We are treated like cattle, they don't care about our feelings (Bishop Gomez and whoever made that decision.) You will be OK in Tacoma, we are expecting a huge earthquake, California is going to sink in the ocean. Leaving is like dying, every time we leave, we die a little. Love and prayers😢 Leonor Fontes

You get it. I love this because this is how I'd imagine Chicago (Cetera Era!), Toto, Earth Wind & Fire, Elton/Taupin, Survivor, lots of AOR West Coast bands would do it. It's INSANELY good. I don't like the super-slow versions...it has to have a groove feel.

I'm heartbroken to hear the Jesuits are leaving Blessed Sacrament. My husband and I have felt so beyond lucky to have such a gorgeous Jesuit church within walking distance. All of our priests have been wonderful, and they've created a beautiful thriving community. 💔

The church is beautiful, Padre, but that box for the drummer looks really ugly, it ruins the beauty of the church and we don't need drums, the noise gives me a headache. The organ music is better, it makes the mass more beautiful and solemn. The trumpet is lovely, but they don't play it very often.The choir should sing Jerusalem, also called The Holy city. There is a beautiful version with Stanford Olsen on KZbin, you will love it. Merry Christmas! Leonor Fontes
