God was with them in this instant ad he is all the time even though we don't realize and appreciate his love and care like we should. She is very courageous to even have considered this! It's also sometimes the combs that they put in your hair to separate your hair. It pulled, and that was happening to me and I'd said something to my loctician So that could be it, but your hair. Or your head should never, ever ever ever ever. Be hurting, not 1 day, not 1 second nor hour. Red flag.​

Reties should not hurt like that! If it gets you a headache, it's too tight. It's so normalized for us Black women to accept pain when it comes to our hair, this needs to stop! We have to take responsibility for our own body and tell the stylists to do it more gentle. And If they don't listen, demand it!

It should never hurt. It could be the Combs or the things that she's putting in your hair to separate it.

Re-ties should NOT cause so much pain. Is your scalp that tender? Is your loctitian or your DIY intent on doing too many rotations? Try not to focus on having "perfect" locks. Brushing your locks with a soft brush may help with frizz. If you color your locks they will definitely need something like humectant to keep them from neing drying out and breaking.
