Yeah that’s definitely a prevalent issue and I’m sorry if you ever had to experience that :-/ I actually made a video awhile back about Korean beauty standards but I think I’ve personally been able to surround myself with kind people who don’t pressure others in that way. I think I’m very lucky to have them and also not have to work in a company here… Since I hear that workplaces are infamous for having that toxic behavior. Otherwise, now that I’m back, I can confidently say that I didn’t miss the food smell that comes from the bathroom in my apartment from other people in the building constantly flushing their food bc they don’t want to pay to get rid of food waste 💀

@@binniebean and im adding that to the cons list RN with big bold letters ahahahha would you mind if I ask u if you have encountered insurmountable issues when you first arrived in Korea without being fluent? ofc learning everyday phrases is essential but ... i can BARELY HAVE ROOM IN MY BRAIN FOR ENG RN (its not my 1st lang ) also is there any website u would recommend like (linkedin) where we can find companies that hire international ppl for internships or someting jst like that as u ve mentionned in an earlier video JOB hunting in korea is kinda hard (aka nightmare)

Honestly I'm the worst person to give that kind of advice because again I was super lucky to have native speakers who I'm close to already to help me 😭 But I will say that from my observation, English has been common enough to help account for my lack of Korean skills... And of course in any important place like government offices, banks or airports, there will always be someone who is fluent in English on hand. So no big issue has ever come up for me. Finding jobs is a nightmare but I've seen a few people have luck with kcampus.kr! Maybe you could check there! I'm sorry I can't be more help 😭

Aww thank you 😭 it definitely gets messy especially after filming with all of the gear out and everything 💀 but it helps that we’re both the type of people who get mental clarity from a tidy space!! So we naturally feel inclined to keep things tucked away and also just try to own less in general!
