Very peculiar indeed. Doesn't seem like a fair mechanic to me, as I can't do it. But maybe that will change. While taking a look at that skill tree, my sword skills get better as i use them and i unlock new combos and such. Maybe I will unlock a counterattack as well. For now combat feels so punishing

Plot twist! In real life I am actually a master swordsman! It's one of my rare talents that I'm extremely good at, and I teach new folks as well! I'm also expanding my combat knowledge into spears, axes, maces, and so on. My next big challenge is actually learning the Chinese Imperial sword techniques. They've always fascinated me

So far I love it. The voice acting sounds good, the story so far is enticing, conversations flow great, and the sword play feels very intuitive. One of those easy to learn, hard to master and I'm all about that life. I can see myself getting sucked into it for weeks. The world is immersive and beautiful. I really can't wait to see where it leads and how crazy it'll get

Its just such a shame that the game runs look hot doo doo water. I would have loved to have conquered the whole island

@@captgrimm2013 That’s true, the engine doesn’t support the game at all when it’s up to “late game” with many units. The Dev said the next warlord will be on a different Game Engine.

Yea I'm looking forward to his next project. This one was awesome for sure, its only issue really felt like it was the engine and optimization. I can only imagine the next warlord will feel as smooth as balls

I think it hit me hard after I had conquered the first 3rd of the map. Just before then a bit, but mostly around that moment. I think having that much revealed and having all those units made things sooooo slow

Hey! I assume you're talking about Warlord difficulty, which is the hardest setting. I hadn't actually had a chance to try it out, so I gave it a go just now to test a few things out. I started a fresh new game, and in the opening skirmish at the farm, I still could have soloed it. I took a little more damage maybe? but it wasn't very noticeable. I lost 3 legionaries in that fight when i normally would've lost like 1 or 2. But i also didn't get that involved, so my losses could have been smaller. Everything else seemed normal, the unrest amount, the strength rating of everything, and the amount of money, supplies, and food gain or upkeep was the same. The biggest difference I noticed was the number of convoys seemed to double, which is great for me, because that means more money lol. I then also went back to the original campaign you see in the livestream here. I turned the notch up to Warlord just to see how it felt. Everything felt the same. My archers still demo everything in sight, but fire 4 times until they're completely out of ammo. I fought a large convoy and took on a village. I lost 4 legionaries and a handful of archers. It felt like every other fight I had so far. Once again, the only difference I noticed were the convoys. There seemed to be a lot more of them and at this stage of the game, they were mostly VIP convoys with big strength numbers. So I can only assume that the convoys and maybe raiding parties scale a little heavier into the later game. I saw a strength 68 convoy which is crazy. I didn't save my game before exiting after this experiment, but I think i'm actually going to leave the difficult slider on Warlord and see how it goes. Next stream you see, we'll be in the most difficult mode! I'm a goat anyways, so what are they gonna do about it?

I just thought it was crazy how many people, who didn't know how to play conquest, jumped into it without looking into it at all! There are several videos that are quite fast that at least teach you the basics of which lanes to be in, how camps work, side objectives, and main objectives. I totally understand not knowing how to rotate, but my goodness this was some amateur work haha. Like, I'm absolute SHIT at this game, but I at least know where to go lol. I'm glad you liked the Chaac build! It was just the default one for Bruiser. Because I only got that one day to play, I didn't want to try building myself, despite that I'm perfectly capable of doing so. I was trying to give my attention to the other aspects of the game first. Hopefully on the next Alpha test weekend I can absolutely COOK

That's so sad to hear about the meteors but I guess it makes sense. We don't have to worry about those super alloy asteroids anymore, since now we've set up the super alloy extractors, but thanks for the info! That's what those are for! Makes sense now, I'm a big dummy dumb dumb doodoo head and sometimes just don't click buttons or just think they're part of the background lol. I'll remember that for next time! I did accidentally do that one time! I think I literally went "Oh.... Neat" and then just completely moved on haha. I should probably try to use it more often.
