hey btw zombies can spawn in the air, i tested it, if you build too high out of the protected zone zombies will spawn and destroy your colony, I would know from keeping all of my colonists in one singular tower 5x7 base and then i just built up, my entire colony died but luckily i had 4000 food to recreate my 117 colonists again, time to put guards in the skies now

Hi Danny! I just wanted to say that you've been doing a great job with all your content! I've really enjoyed your Colony Survival Series and am currently watching your Minecraft videos! Colony Survival was the game that I loved watching a few years ago and recently found your channel. Your my type of KZbinr and cause me to smile often when watching you play; ( or struggle to play, lol ). Also, I wanted to comment that at 1:11:20 in the top left corner, ( I believe ) I saw a ocean monument. I maybe mistaken because I'm not an expert on this game either, but I'm convinced its a monument or some structures underwater. I've also not watched all the recent Minecraft videos yet ( planning on it though ) so I'm not sure if its been discovered yet. Also you deserve More than 7 likes on this video. You're a great guy and hope to continue watching your videos for a while. Hear from you soon! Bye :)

Thank you Michael! 😊 Always appreciate a kind word from viewers. And I didn't see the ocean monument (didn't even know that was a thing lol) I've started a Livestream Minecraft series now as well 😄 maybe I'll see you there 🙂

Sorry bro set a reminder and youtube never let me know but you should swim and kill fish for food and raise the pigs and sheep and cows also make a 9x9 farm block in the water doesn't matter if it's floating but you could max out one plot at 80 with one water source block in the center

Regarding boarding empty ships, what I think you'd do is to send a marine to claim it. At least, it worked for me with "abandoned" ships after a battle.
@DannyCodePlays21 күн бұрын
Awesome! Yeah, just found that out recently. Def need marines aboard tho
@teaFoxFarrel22 күн бұрын
Okay :) Another round of rapid fire tips, some of which you have already figured out ;) Iron is a distribution with two peaks and a special case. The biggest distribution peak is at high altitudes, so if you're in a mountainous area, you might find good ore spawn rates at the top of the mountians. The next biggest peak is at Y16, so, a bit above deep slate. There's a baseline distribution at pretty much any altitude, but yeah, don't count on it, it's few and far between. Lastly, there's the motherload. Deep into deepslate, you might find an iron seam. Thousands of iron ores... Very big, very rare. By far the best method though, is an iron farm ;) Vines can be collected with a pair of shears Mystery light in caves? There are patches of glowing moss, also lava gives off light... But it can be a sign of something else too. As for not getting lost? A lot of people rely on the "torches on the left" method. Often I just try to place them on walls so they point home. In the wilderness if I only have torches and a few blocks? A two block tall cobble pillar and a torch pointing towards home can be a great help. For not getting lost in caves? I make elaborate staircases, something obvious to get down to the depths, rather than relying on finding your way down ;) I'm fine with slow gameplay vids, chilled out is nice... And it doesn't give a false impression of how quickly the game goes. It may be a little late to say it, but don't spend too much iron on pickaxes, they break pretty quickly, and it's difficult to mine up enough iron to replace them. Typically I keep one ONLY to mine up hard ores (Gold, Redstone and Diamond) By far the most important iron tool is a bucket... Preferably two or three. As RuneScapeQuestMaster mentioned, the "What am I looking at" mod "Waila" does exactly that... Looks like there's a modloader independent download. www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/waila *Whistles* Next steps? Well, you have some options. 1) Continue mining for resources, and look into setting up some basic processing. Using furnaces to turn cobblestone back into stone, and then crafting into stone brick gives you some more building material options. - An underground basecamp with an ostentatious staircase is often an early project of mine. Some chests and even some underground farms may be of use if you want to embrace the dwarvern lifestyle. 2) You have some basic above ground resources, but you could always set up some dedicated farming and forestry areas, stables for the horse and animals and whatnot. - Alfred... By the way. Such an elegant looking horse, strikes me as an Alfred. 3) Begin some early exploration for different building materials. There are several different flavours of wood left to find. - Since you're getting lost easily, consider crafting a compass. (4 iron ingots and one piece of redstone) Or even look into making some maps. - Never know, you might find a saddle in a village... At very least you might be able to start trading. - If you're going exploring seriously, take a bed and some food with you ;) - Exploring the sea is often a good early option. Travelling by boat doesn't cost food, unlike walking, and if you follow the coast, you can follow it back. 4) I'd avoid looking into iron farms and the like until you're a little more jaded with mining for resources... But hey, it's an option. - Food and kelp farms are absolutely worth considering, however. 5) Landscaping and architecture is always an option... Why live simply, when you can build a lavish homestead? - Perhaps pick a theme for your home area? 6) Look into some early teching up? Fishing, diamond tools, enchanting, the world is your blocky oyster. 7) Make a bucket. Make another. Find lava... ??? ... Regret this idea.
@DannyCodePlays21 күн бұрын
Very cool, thanks Farrel! As far as iron, I'm going to look for a better source for sure. And looked into how to make an iron farm. Maybe I'll try that "later" lol I try to do the torches on the left strat in caves, but I still get a little lost, especially if I'm going in cirlcles :/ The "signposts" showing the way home in the wilderness is a super idea that I am probably going to use tho Watching a YTer as I write this and they just made a mob farm, going to have to try that for sure lol Good tip on the iron pickaxes. Going to save them up for the harder mineables. And I think I'm going to just install JavaRE to start installing mods. I need a new computer anyway ;) Love the name Alfred for the horse, but I think I'm going to go with Sir Chocolate Thunder Fancy Hooves partially suggested by Tony in the other comments he made 😎 Alfred will def be the second horse's name tho ha And def going to go village hunting to find a saddle And thanks for the "next steps" suggestions. I've been trying to spruce up my home, and I really enjoy that aspect of Minecraft, so going to a bunch more landscaping and building my forever home. That, with a big side of exploration, etc
@teaFoxFarrel21 күн бұрын
@@DannyCodePlays Well, be sure and get the 64 bit version of java, that'll let you use more memory, which will be needed for some mods (shaders included). As I said previously, I haven't really ever had a problem with the JRE, but yeah, maybe there's more people than I'm aware of that do. Making a mob farm is a handy thing for general monster drops too :) Spider string is especially annoying, I find. As ever, good luck!

Need to start grid mining out do a 2 tall by 1 wide tunnel so the left right and bottom are all newly exposed blocks until you hit water or lava then I would usually block it off ans put a double torch so I know something is on the otherside then go back to the start and move over 3 blocks so that way the next tunnel will be all newley exposed blocks and thats how you grid mine

23:23 use either sand or gravel to full a big area you have access to the bottom block because there is a torch trick where the falling blocks can't be stable on the torch so you break and quickly place a torch (maybe have it in your off hand for easy placement)

Also there's like a debug menus you can see what level your on and most common iron spots are between afew levels underground so just explore is easier but you can get lost and run out of touches where you can start grid mining out the area as in like dig a 1x2 tall hole stright in a line to search for what your looking for on said resource level there is another strategy that's a 1x1 with a trap door but im old I just do my 1x2 after you either a hit water or be hit lava block it off and if it is lava I suggest putting like a double touch to show There is fire on the other side of the wall then go back to the start and move over 3 blocks on either side and do it again making veines the reason you skip 3 is because you see the left and right side and you tunnel so yoy move over so both sides are new blocks uncovered
