A little ironic that I can only find British readings of an Irish poet, particularly when you consider his politics.

She's adorable and exactly how one would imagine. She reminds me of my granny from Krakow and both were born in 1923, although my granny lived to be 92, not 89. I'm a poet too and discovered we write in a bit similar way and we both lost our dads when we were teenagers. (Urocza! Bardzo mi przypomina moja babcie, tez z Krakowa.)

Ugggh... What is this?? 😔 My all time, forever favourite poem✨ read by someone who shouldn't use his voice for entertaining purposes..😢 My mind is now screaming for Joseph Morgan (Klaus) version.. I have no intention of shaming or insulting the person speaking in this video.. Simply stating the fact: He shouldn't use his voice for entertaining purposes.. 🙊 This was rather traumatic for me.. and im not exaggerating. 😔

Great Information. Please add the time llne years in the video. It will help us to learn . the year mentioned en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Poland_during_World_War_II in 1939 onwards. Was the flying universities formed in 1885 as in video. Thanks

Szymborska was a declared Polish communist during the worst period of Stalinism. She even wrote a poem for Stalin. An average poet promoted by the communist regime.
@martinharris7339 Жыл бұрын
Perhaps at that time she was an average poet. But I believe she later renounced her earlier political poetry. Her later work, for which she is celebrated, is quite different.
@zuben1245 Жыл бұрын
@@martinharris7339 Later, she did not write about communism, because it was not profitable for her. In fact, she made up for the propaganda approach to poetry, but she still wrote on average. Compared to Zbigniew Herbert, her poetry was only ok.
