While this video is 3 years old I want to be a witness that a lot of insurance policies do cover the full abdominoplasty now. A full abdominoplasty is the muscle repair (plication) belly button transposition, mons lift and skin removal above the belly button. Always refer to your SPD (summary plan document for ur insurance plan and read the exclusions). If skin removal of any part of the body is an exclusion u will ALWAYS get a denied prior auth. No matter how much u medically need it and meet the criteria/ W When you go into these surgeon offices know what ur talking abt because most will only push for the panni when ur plan will cover the full tummy tuck. Advocate for yourself. Also, with the way most PS's do a panni now I am seeing more women having very nice and flat results because most doctors reposition the belly button just for aesthetic purposes. So before u say yes to one doctor who is not to your standards, shop around and choose the one who u are comfortable with and ABPS certified.

I am 72 and am having a tummy tuck with breast lift and augmentation. After a complete physical including an ECG, my primary care physician signed off on it for the plastic surgeon and said he could not see any reason that I would not do well. He said health wise I may as well be 30! Good news! As long as your health is good, and you have prepared for the recovery, go for it!

Why do insurance companies not pay for an abdominalplasty if the patient had an underlying issue with the abdominal muscles being separated causing other medical issues like back pain, incontinence, and weakness in the core? I’m struggling so bad with these issues as well as a massive amount of loose skin and it blows my mind that the procedure that would correct MORE medical issues isn’t covered….

I had my implants removed after having them in for 17 years I developed breast implant illness. All my symptoms went away I was relieved for that but the look of my breasts or unbearable. So I had fat transfer done to my breasts at Elite Body Sculpture in Miami, FL 2 years ago. When I had the procedure I was 118 lb The doctors will only put about one soda can size amount of fat in each breast. When I came home my breasts were full and plump they looked so much better! I gained more weight l ate right followed all the doctors instructions. And then I started exercising got into shape lost some of the extra weight that I had gained after having the transfer I am now at 123 lbs which is more than I weighed during procedure. The bbl was very painful, it hurt much worse than a sunburn and the pain lasted the whole rest of the day. Day 2 I’m extremely swollen, looking like a ripe tomato.
