Great video. What type of pickups is Mike using on his Strat? They look a little smaller than regular humbuckers.

I don't know who these guys are as I don't speak German so couldn't understand the intro, but this is a great piece of music and a wonderful display of adult musicianship. In particular, the guitar solo by Bruno Muller is truly outstanding and is one of the most innovative and inventive solos I've ever heard. Great stuff... And Peter Weniger's sax solo is equally outstanding and innovative. I like a musician who knows how to use space, and this guy does, together with an outstanding sound he gets from the sax! All oi all - tremendous music kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3TQo6CZa9ZjgJo

Loved this guy. I remember first hearing him on 'Great Wall Of China' by Billy Joel. Check it out if you haven't heard it...plus the remixed 'It's All About Soul', where you can actually hear him play, grooving on the 'and' all the way through. Tough to do. Talk about 'in the pocket'. Saw him in London at a bass conference in Earls Court once. Big giver...he championed beginners...non judgemental and ultra supportive of those just starting out on bass. Great smile, loud voice, infectious personality. Sorely missed.

This man was the reason I played bass. I sent him an email in the early Netscape days and he was very nice and encouraging.. and I think I was at every concert he played in my city. What a wonderful human being.. always friendly, always in a good mood, loved what he did.. damn. I hit me hard when I saw he passed. See you in some years T.M., let's jam then.

Thank you so much for posting this. I guess every day it sinks in a bit more that everyone's favorite picker has passed. I pray his family and friends find consolation in knowing that Dean is, not was, IS, a legend.

I helped Preston on many occasions. He's a great keyboardist but a terrible friend. He's selfish and delusional, thinking only of himself; rarely have I met a person with such a terrible ego.

Gefällt mir hervorragend! Auch die selbstgebauten Drums habe ich mir schon mehrfach bei Konzerten angesehen. Ist der Produzent etwa der Ralf Schmitz, den ich kenne?
