I saw this in 1975 in the same building! Still mesmerizing now in 2024! PRICELESS! Jimmy's peak for sure!❤😊

This is still edited at 8:55. That's not how jimmy played that outro that night. It was much smoother. Im trying to find the real unedited with the correct outro but i cant seem to find it

I saw The Song Remains the Same in about 1980 in a "Midnight Showing" at a theatre that did midnight specials. I was 15. I was already a huge Zeppelin fan but that movie left a mark on me. I bought the album shortly after and have never been without it in my collection ever since.

the pure energy of electric music, done by virtuoso musicians with their heads in different but related clouds - blues, jazz, African polyrythms - seeking to take blues music one step further - this was the language of Heaven when I was a teenager

Although Plant fawns over Jones, this great song went to Page and Bonham‼️. 🔥💯🔥

Recorded on 26 September 1962 at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs,NJ. Composed by Ellington. Ellington, Coltrane, Aaron Bell-bass, Elvin Jones-drums. Original producer was Bob Thiele who was also responsible for teaming Ellington with Louis Armstrong and Coleman Hawkins. Reissue producer was the late, great Michael Cuscuna. The digitally remastered CD was released in 1995 - Impulse! IMPD-166.

The 1973 keyboard versions were so much better than the piano versions of 1975, 1977, and 1979. This version should have gone the distance of 30+ minutes. Absolute maximum saddle point of music.

Meilleur album selon moi (en plus avec mon ami Gérald Renard à la basse) Emile Jacotey en 2ème et tous les autres en 3ème. Amitiés à tous.

Too bad 1973 versions did not go 30+ minutes long. 1975, 1977, and 1979 versions were good and long, but I prefer the electronic keyboard over the piano.
