Electronics are very complex and energy-hungry, so it would be better to provide alternative systems for them that are simple, do not consume energy, and are more efficient.

Good demo! Would like to ask, do you have linux drivers (e.g. for Ubuntu 20.04 / 22.04 / 24.04). Does this interface with Thorlabs linear stages? Is there a linux driver that can be controlled via a terminal command line interface? Regards.

very interesting. Utilising the micro sphere with working distance of < 3um is definitely increasing the system's NA. A system with higher NA will have higher resolution for sure and all these are within diffraction limit. line width of USAF group9 element 6 is only 548nm, how could you claim that it can result <200nm?

Don't watch, it's an add and doesn't actually explain what Optical Contact Bonding is. But, I will. It is when you grind and polish two surfaces to an exceptional degree of flatness such that when the two surfaces touch each other, the atoms of the surfaces establish modestly strong bonds to create a single object. This principle is known as "Ringing" and is most oft seen with Machinists Gauge Blocks.

agreed, but the point about protecting the bond from long term degradation was a welcome reminder.

Dear all, How is axially controlled the distance between the microsphere and the object surface ? What are the accuracy and the risk of scratch? @7:39, you have mentioned a lateral resolution of 161 nm. But it is half of the resolution (half of the period). This means the resolving power of the system is around 320 nm. Regards,
