some days they are difficult but every now and then the flat is absolutely loaded with them and they practically put themselves in front of you. this was one of those days. It really should have have been a triple permit day i had so much shots at them.

@@tobagoflatsstalker We have a saying ''Like London buses'' they all turn up at once. I just checked my Tobago photo files and it's fifteen years since I was last out. I used to go twice a year most years since 1999 and always fished PP and Friendship. Is Kester Herbert still around?

its not too hard, takes a bit of practice but you can get the hang of it pretty easily and the fish react much better to the "flies" over plastic lures

@@AnsariBaksh you'd need a fly fishing rod as well as a fly fishing reel with backing(line) and a fly line.

I used to fish there many years ago with Kester. Hooked some big ones fishing from the pier with livebaits too, but never managed to land one.

its been on fire since summer, now starting to calm down tho, but we've been landing them for months here. some pretty nice sized ones too

Spinning is an under-rated method for bonefish. It's been a few years now but have had plenty of 'Bago bones on Rapala lures. My most unusual catch was a 3lb fish on a Yo-zuri slider top-water lure on a flat near the airport.

Rod tip in the water and strip set , don’t high stick. Yes it seems the bite is on.
