Melchizedek came with bread and wine saying Blessed be Abram of the most high. Notice how he came with gifts to test Abram’s faith in God. Bread and wine, representing the flesh and the blood, a great sacrifice. Then Bera came to bargain for the people’s return to him. (We know why) 😢 but Abram gave a tenth to the king of Salem. I wonder if there is a connection between Salem and Jerusalem? 😊

Even though Abraham lied about Sarah being his wife out of fear for his own life, it was easier for him because they would have simply taken her as a concubine or "wife." Despite this, God intervened, warning that anyone who slept with Sarah would be cursed. This shows how, when God has a purpose and a plan for His children, He will move doors, events, or people out of the way to ensure His will is accomplished through them.

This was beautiful and actually had me looking for answers regarding why Cain’s offering was rejected. From my readings, I believe that Cain gave an offering, but it was not the best of what he had. Kind like an afterthought, while saving the best for himself. That’s not a true sacrifice. And I also believe it wasn’t done in the right spirit. I believe that Cain gave, but he wasn’t a cheerful giver. I believe that a cheerful giver gives the best that they have. And it should be given with the spirit of Thanksgiving. Just my opinion. Also, I had to re-read and look at what happened to Enoch in the Bible. What I was able find out was Enoch is the only person who did not actually die. God actually brought Him straight up to heaven. He didn’t die on earth and no one took his life. Thank you for even bringing these important questions up. This is truly helping me rediscover the Bible in a new way 🙏🏽🙏🏽💕

Enoch walked with God and “was not” represents his body being transported to heaven. His body did not exist after 365 years or there was no record from that point forward.

Cain brought God vegetables but not the first fruits as his offering. This was his sin because it represented what he wanted to give without regard to the fact that EVERYTHING belongs to God. Abel, conversely, brought the first born of his flock, to recognize that it all belongs to the Lord. Also, the burning fat was considered pleasant smells to God because the animals had to be sacrificed (a sin offering that God would accept at the time).

Shaun this is truly wonderful! Sharing God’s word with others is a wonderful thing to do, this is made even easier via Social Media. I truly believe that God is already using you to bless others by sharing God’s word with everyone and making your viewers feel welcomed in by reading the English version. There have been many times that I even felt like the King James Version was confusing to me. Sis you’re already very down to earth anyway. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re going to reach others by just being you. And by continuing to give God all of the credit, the praise, and the glory as He definitively deserves it all. This is wonderful and I pray that God reveals His word to you in even a more meaningful and encouraging way. I’m so very proud of you.
