Great idea to grab 12v. Have you looked into Forescan yet? If not, check it out. All this and much more can be done using that program. No wiring needed.

I just started playing with forscan a year or less a go.. I am currently trying to figure out how to remove the black text box in the middle of the screen that says "Full view not available". This is there when not in reverse and you hit the rear camera to checkout something.. Very irritating..

Surveyed for uranium exploration in the southwestern Henry Mountains back in the late 80’s & early 90’s! Must have walked several hundred miles all over that area staking out mining claims! Interestingly, our old mining camp became the little town of Ticaboo, Utah. Just sum FYI!

I've loved that area of the country since having lived in Hanksville for a couple years as a child back in the late 60's. At that time there were no paved roads south of Hanksville, I-70 wasn't there, and the army would still fire missles on occasion from GreenRiver to White Sands New Mexico. That Hells backbone bridge was very narrow back then, no guardrails on the side, just a skinny single track road the width of a truck with two logs on the side to use like curb feelers to keep you from falling off. That new "Wide" bridge you drove over was put in 20 or 25 years ago. I still try to hit the area to explore at least once a year if I can, although now I tend to do it mostly in my UTV. I can't trust the old Body to do the long hikes I used to love when exploring that region.

So i did this mod but have an issue! I tied into the right hand fog light. When i turn right, the cornering fog kicks in and shuts my driving lights off! When i straighten the wheel it turns off and my driving lights kick back in! How did you overcome this? Thanks
@builtbypottsy-byrdkrapАй бұрын
Sounds to me that your control system on your f150 is way different than my sysrem.. My factory fog lights never turn off with my turn signal.. As long as my dim lights are on they are on.. You maybe able to login using forscan and turn that feature off.. I would google and research you model/trim.package of f150 turning off fog turn signal.

How do you set up/activate the ballistic calculator? Thanks!
@builtbypottsy-byrdkrap3 ай бұрын
You have to connect your phone with the wifi that the zulus puts out.. The have the Arken app in to phone. You then have to setup your ballistics in the app for your gun and round.. Once that is done upload that ballistics to the zulus with its wifi.. Search here on KZbin for "Setting Up Zulus ".. That's how O figured it out.. It's not hard.. It's also not easy.. It will take a bit, but once you get it then its all good..👍.

I want to connect a 2-way switch in the cab for on-off-remote activated. That way I can turn it on when the lights are off. To make this work, would you connect as you have shown and then connect 87 to the manual on switch?
@builtbypottsy-byrdkrap3 ай бұрын
Not sure... I would have to dig into that..
@builtbypottsy-byrdkrap3 ай бұрын
I think it would be as easy as connect to the relay with your switch on the dash you want.. Then when you manually turn that switch on the power from the battery would activate the relay and make it all work.. I believe you would connect to the same pin on the relay as the fog light wire would be.. Not sure.. You may have to install a 2nd relay on the back side of the circuit to control the light after the fog light relay connection..

Hey, Had a bit of a question hopefully you see this. I've ran into an issue using these mounts, the M.O.R.E Offroad measurements for the driver side is 31 5/8's. but if you look at the directions you'll notice they have a bracket bolted to the front of the frame rale, extending their measurement by what I have found to be about 1/4". I have a reference 2004 4.0 frame, and i took the measurement, and the frame mount measure 31 7/8"s from the front of the actual frame. So I believe MORE off roads measurement is false by about 1/4". I have used their measurements, got the mounts welded in and found that the transmission mount studs, sit about 5/16"S in front of the holes they are supposed to. Indicating again, that the MORE offroad measurement is flawed. My frame is like yours, completely bare, with nothing bolted to the front, but you can see in their #1 picture, they have a bracket bolted onto the front and I believe this to be an error causing issues. I am wondering what your input on this situation is and if you had a similar experience.
@builtbypottsy-byrdkrap8 ай бұрын
I welded my monts to their numbers.. Unfortunately I had to cut off the drivers side mount and move it a bit.. So I would agree that there is something going on with thier measurements.. When It happened I just fixed it thinking somehow I was off a bit.. I never looked in to it.. So what your saying makes sense..

Nice, so despite federal and state rangers, the Army corps of Engineers, stating that Black Bear cannot take full size, and that driving full size on it softens the shoulder, and breaks the trail down to the point it is no longer driveable, you guys said "fuck it, lets ruin it for everyone." congrats. Off roaders like you are why the EPA/Sierra Club is winning case after case in shutting down ORV parks.
@builtbypottsy-byrdkrap10 ай бұрын
Show me a sign on that trail or public awareness stating those facts! I have been responsibly off-road driving for over 30 years. I have thousands of miles just in Utah, Colorado and surrounding areas.. I am the guy that takes a extra trash bag and brings it home with other peoples stuff... So show me your signage..

The only place anyone advises against a full-size truck is the west side switchbacks, which didn’t he did not go down… so he wasn’t ruining any shoulder, etc.. Not sure what you’re talking about.

Looks like pottys never did his homework. Poison spyder was sold to Transamerican auto parts around 2015 explaining why you can’t get a response. Ever sense they sold out the name has gone down hill they’ve stopped production now and basically whatever is sitting on the shelves is all that’s left.
