I was filming there a few days ago and one of the staff. Members yelled at me and said there’s no filming there I am not mad at them because it was a nice place to eat and visit. Just don’t understand why they were mad I was filming.

Hey, Had a bit of a question hopefully you see this. I've ran into an issue using these mounts, the M.O.R.E Offroad measurements for the driver side is 31 5/8's. but if you look at the directions you'll notice they have a bracket bolted to the front of the frame rale, extending their measurement by what I have found to be about 1/4". I have a reference 2004 4.0 frame, and i took the measurement, and the frame mount measure 31 7/8"s from the front of the actual frame. So I believe MORE off roads measurement is false by about 1/4". I have used their measurements, got the mounts welded in and found that the transmission mount studs, sit about 5/16"S in front of the holes they are supposed to. Indicating again, that the MORE offroad measurement is flawed. My frame is like yours, completely bare, with nothing bolted to the front, but you can see in their #1 picture, they have a bracket bolted onto the front and I believe this to be an error causing issues. I am wondering what your input on this situation is and if you had a similar experience.
@builtbypottsy-byrdkrapАй бұрын
I welded my monts to their numbers.. Unfortunately I had to cut off the drivers side mount and move it a bit.. So I would agree that there is something going on with thier measurements.. When It happened I just fixed it thinking somehow I was off a bit.. I never looked in to it.. So what your saying makes sense..

I'm almost to the point of needing my mounts put on for a 2.5 - 4.0 swap. I've searched all over for this info also with little luck so this definitely helps me out. Nice job and thank you very much for putting it out there. Greatly appreciated.

Nice, so despite federal and state rangers, the Army corps of Engineers, stating that Black Bear cannot take full size, and that driving full size on it softens the shoulder, and breaks the trail down to the point it is no longer driveable, you guys said "fuck it, lets ruin it for everyone." congrats. Off roaders like you are why the EPA/Sierra Club is winning case after case in shutting down ORV parks.

Show me a sign on that trail or public awareness stating those facts! I have been responsibly off-road driving for over 30 years. I have thousands of miles just in Utah, Colorado and surrounding areas.. I am the guy that takes a extra trash bag and brings it home with other peoples stuff... So show me your signage..

I lived in Moab from 48 to 55. Rainfall was 5-8 inches per year. Now, thanks to Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell there is 20 inches of rain and lots of green for animals, birds and insects. We floated the Colorado river on inner tubes from B29 aircraft or rafts made from driftwood. We staked uranium claims that paid for my first car and two years at Utah State, with help from working as an extra, indian or calvary soldier for Republic or Universal movie companies. Special memories are; big mule deer, trapping coyote and fox, peaches, cherries, watermelons, apples and tomatoes. Aspen forests, good spring water, water skiing, ice skating, great dances, 110 customers for Salt Lake Tribune, good honest people. I won the model airplane contest and a Rotary trip to SLC. Iguana

@@builtbypottsy-byrdkrap that's just unbelievable, makes it 10x cooler. I have a 98 Sahara with good KMs on it, no rust and Dana 44 rear. I wanted a good base and I'll lift it 2 inches, run 33s, lockers front and rear. Rock sliders, steel bumper front with a winch and roof rack with swing out tire carrier on the rear. It will lose its stock looks but I reckon it will be more capable. Let me tell you, the looks I get when I go to a mild trail with a stock Jeep with cleaninsh body and stock rims and tires is priceless, I think I'll miss the chats ("did you come all the way through there, or did your buddies winch you??" 😅) but sometimes it's not so easy going, I can't wait for the mods
