Unfortunately this idea takes a LONG time and, tree-wise, isn't economically sound. It's great for creative mode but the whole game would turn into building the base for a really long time. I just focused on small bases and did a lot of moving around the island and nothing ever got destroyed because i never stayed in one place that long.

Just curious, but why do so many youtubers keep the setting "destruction of buildings" left on? If you're so worried about your shit breaking, turn it off. I get it if you want immersion and realism, then leave it on. Whatever floats your boat I guess. Was this setting added recently? I only started playing like a month ago

Ya built really close to where I set up my base on the beach. I used double walls and trippled up on each of the walls. Place never got attacked.

Thanks for the tip on building one section of the bridge instead of a full bridge. I was removing the front part and didnt expect the entire bridge to all go with it when i destroyed the front part.
