Imagine if she HAD stayed at the Oscars parties and mingled with A-List celebrities and actual Hollywood bigwig business people. Just being in those circles could have changed the course of her career and her entire life... even in the previous episode she declined backstage tickets to meet Lady Gaga to instead go to a shitty fight with Alex, whom she is not even married to anymore! She has seriously missed out on such amazing opportunities for the wrong people that have come and gone and manipulated and used her in her life. After binge watching all of Katie's reality series from the start with Pete, after they left the jungle... I have come to notice a pattern of her boyfriends, fiances and spouses always making her feel guilty for putting her career first and now look at how she has ended up. Who knows the possibilities of who she could have met if only she had stayed at that Oscars party. Or the connections she might have made backstage at the Lady Gaga show. Obviously I am just using these two instances as an example, I am sure there have been far more. I love the Pricey so I very much hate to say this, but I'm assuming that the reality is that she wanted to go back to the hotel room to do blow with her "hangers on/yes men" Gary & Phil.
