Plz consider adopting, fostering, volunteering or donating to animal shelters. This is a critical time now for shelters since they're overflowing and have to euthanize otherwise healthy animals. Shelter pets provide much luv, companionship in return beyond belief. It takes so little to make a huge difference in the lives of animals in need.

You can go to the City of Iowa City's website and read what the City Attorney wrote for the mayor to read. Do you need a link to the website? Frankly, hearing it all is less desirable than reading it.

We can do this! Healthcare workers (many are my friends) here and across the country have been asking people to wear masks and continue good hygiene practices. They are exhausted and anxious, working in hospitals where beds/ equipment are limited. But to be more effective, other towns in Johnson County need to join Iowa City. Mayor Teague & City Council, perhaps the City of Iowa City could sponsor a contest for posters that condense this proclamation into concise statements paired with visuals/ artwork? The City could choose several (different age categories?) and print them off for use by local businesses and public spaces.

David Drake, unfortunately your forte is not reading trend charts and researching relevant data. The number of weekly deaths from ALL causes ("excess deaths") reported by the CDC in the United States has been below average since July 3. Since you apparently need help in finding facts, please use the following link to examine the data yourself. Take note the chart may state the data shown is excess deaths related to the COVID but look for the option to show ALL deaths. www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm The State of Iowa has been below average for several weeks and are at the lowest levels in a year. So, how do you expect me to BELIEVE this is NOT political?

David Drake Only 4 cases today in Johnson County and you are focused on a misleading rate of growth chart of positive results on a day to day rate in Iowa. Are you serious? No wonder people are waking up. You have another deficiency: inability to contextualize abstract concepts.
