This animatic is fantastic with a really compelling "protagonist". There's been a huge resurgence of angels falling because they did something noble but in doing so disobeying the big man in the sky. A lot of people paint it as "heaven is actually a dictatorship regime" or something. Which is an interesting take and very poignant to modern day politics. But it's also interesting to note that basically all the Abrahamic religions believe that angels don't have free will. They're vessels meant to carry out gods will and therefore *can't* disobey. They're just empty shells essentially. So the idea behind fallen angels is that those who rebel are *defective*, having gained free will and in doing so end up going against the big G's plans. Anyway, felt that this was an interesting take because I noticed the protag angel is the only one with pupils, the other angel we see close-up (the judge angel who nods) has no pupils/foggy eyes, same as (I assume) god (glowy pupil-less eyes, showing how he's blinded/unaffected of the struggles of human life), which could symbolise that the other angels remain puppets/vessels of god. Protag angel on the other hand gained or always had free will and sees the complications and grey areas of human life, contemplating the unfairness of taking a life so young. Nature is impartial, taking life and sparing life with no rhyme or reason. But when you put something resembling a person behind those decisions, depending on how "involved" god in this story is to deciding the length of human life, it makes for a compelling antagonist. How can you justify upholding the laws of nature and all the suffering that causes when that being is responsible for making those laws in the first place? Anyway, dunno if you intended for it to be interpreted this way, I just like analysing the many ways symbolism in things can be interpreted. Great work!

Thank you! 💖 And this was a very interesting read. It's true that in my designs, he's the only one with iris' in his eyes but I hadn't actually thought about the significance of it. You've given me a good idea though. Love hearing peoples interpretation of things.😄

Even as just an animatic, the dynamic way in which you've drawn the characters shows the intended movements behind them, and the expressions are incredible in the emotions they express. Awe thanks! Glad you like it! It's the backstory to one (well two technically) of my characters from my webcomic. Though the webcomic is a completely different vibe lol. It's actually a sci-fi comic and he's a medic for the main crew.
