cost to make a wii:15$ 3d printed parts:1$ material(not counting 3d printer) buttons:idk work:50$ so 90 wouldve been a better price honestly even though this is really cool keep up the good work

The biggest thing I thought was "How would you fit a disc drive in there?" but you did it. I've watched this video already. I still wonder how.

I know it has not come out yet but when it does you could look at getting a flippy disc which would allow you to digitally download all of the GameCube games onto something like that as a portable GameCube it would allow you to take all of your GameCube games on disk as well and it download them onto the Flippy disc so that you don't have to worry about using the disc drive at all You could just switch over to another game very easily

I have a question. Anyone can answer this if they want. Would it be possible to trim a wii to fit in a gamecube shell while maintaining full functionality as a wii? Also has this been successfuly attempted before by anyone? What steps would i take if i were to do it and is there any relevant documentation i should research?

Getting a trimmed board to fit and the Gamecube controller slots positioned and functional should be trivial. 100% doable. But if you care about optical drive functionality, not saying it is impossible, but have disc presence sensor changed to lid sensor as well as getting a drive to work in the open top housing case would be extremely difficult. And then lastly, why, what gain do you get by going from Wii shell to GC shell? where will you put the USB ports or the SD slot? Also the Why do you want a sleeper GC that is in fact a wii?

I wanna build a portable laptop style wii u console, with the ability to be plugged into a TV, with full functionality, any suggestions or recommends? Or better yet why don't you make it and show us how it's done with source files?
