This is without a doubt my favorite Neil song - he has created so many great songs throughout the years - never a fan of his politics but you can hear the sincerity of his lyrics and even though many have said his vocal ability leave something to be desired, I still think he has a very special place in the world of music history

Returning to the old home, it was still there. Though everything had changed, this song burst through my heart in the garden. This sure have changed yet this song remains as a gentle reminder of fondest times. Loved how this felt in Inherent Vice. Just wonderful Neil, thank you ♥️

Maid is easier kind of love, it is not all consuming love, you want maid when you can't give anymore to somebody emotions- it is a toxic state for new lover that comes.... Sad strong song avout emotional numbness to all others where he misses his ex!

Neil Young has Written so many Beautifully crafted songs evoking a gamut of different emotions as he performs his songs Himself. This is one of my favorites coming off of my favorite album by him, After the Goldrush. I first heard it In high school, in the early 70s, And I'm still listening.
