I have a question, one of my larger chips looks good, but the repair material is a little bit more rubbery than ceramic. Was this a mistake in how I cured it? Should I have layered it up gradually?

yes, if the defet is deeper tahn 2mm, you need apply in layers. Probably the deepest part of your repair did not cure properly, thats why you feel it is softer. You can remove and appy again.

Bought this kit recently, the large size since the chip on my tub was more than 2" wide and 1/2" deep. The instructions here, on their website and on the side of the box never mentioned to apply the solution and tape within 30 seconds. I took almost 30 seconds because the tube opening is so small it takes time and force to push it out. After 30 seconds tried to flatten it so I can put on the tape and it is already rock solid. All messed up and used the Dremel to flatten it with air pockets in the chip area. More over, the remaining solution in the tube also hardened in a minute making it useless. 3 small tapes are useless for this large kit. They should have provided a large tape and the customer should be able to cut it according to the size of the chip. Never got a chance to try it, but more work for me to remove the screwed up job so I can try a different brand.

Is there a way to do this on a chipped porcelain veneer tooth? I think the issue would be shaping it until it can be cured, but other than that it seems kind of like the same thing...bonding it onto a porcelain surface. Let's just say it's hypothetically for some realistic teeth for a Halloween costume.

It is just a strong blue light. Any blue light will work. The kit has two blue light key chains. You dont need extra light source.
