Kool i have a question for you! Im working on a 79 chevy c10 silverado. I dropped both tanks ,on those tanks sending unit have three fuel lines connections, now the guy ordered the news one and got sent 2 sending units the same only with two fuel connections so i looked it up and nowhere to if they work or not,again he ordered two more sending units one has two fuel lines connections and the other has three fuel lines connections will these work or can i use the first ones that were ordered or the second ones ordered?? Fyi this truck is only used for the ranch during hunting season its not for hwy so it only gets used for about 3 or 4 mos out of the yr.

Hey there’s two holes on the bottom I know one of them is the fuel line But then right next to the bottom has another little hole what is that for or what do I connected to because it’s spitting gas out of it

Damn…. Mine is leaking into the other tank through the switch valve. How do I bypass the valve entirely?

I just learned the hard way yesterday to make sure the fuel line you get is rated for fuel. I replaced mine last year both the 1/4 and 5/16 hoses the autoparts guy gave me were fuel rated, but the 3/8 was actually vacuum hose and I never realized it until yesterday when I pulled the driver side tank back off my 86 K2500. I guess the hose lasted just long enough to run for 25 minutes before collapsing and hardening up like that.

What colors go where on the plug

I have a flat bed on mine, makes it easy to access the tanks.

Can you use the passenger sending unit on driver side tank?

Leave it there long enough to get a part number

My son is army mechanic and he suggested just cutting out and making access panels to the top of the fuel tanks inside of the bed.

Lol, just got a 1982 c20, the previous owner bypassed it to only one tank works. Now I have to rewire, and run new lines. I hope yous worked out.

im having kinda the same issue, but you know how we home brewed chevy mechanics wire shit, someone had like a bunch of 4 foot wires, and just twisted them all together and put it in a snake, then bolted it to the frame. being that im having a wiring issue and i have no idea where it connects to the switch, or the battery. yeah, help

Man i wish you were close, i cant figure out my issue for SHIT! Was told my valve was bad, swapped it out, andddddd swapped it and now my fuel gauge is pegged and still won’t switch tanks

Im in the same boat. Previous owner had a fuel pump and tank switch valve put in. Three months later wont start. Gave up on it. Trying to drop the right tank on 89 C3500 Dually. Everything is corroded or shot.
