How would someone go about connecting multiple solar charge controllers to multiple bus bars which link large amounts of batteries in multiple strings? Just as an example, say someone has five strings of 100 amp 48 volt batteries connected to bus bars. How would someone charge all of these using the multiple solar charge controllers? How would they do it if they cannot find bus bars to fit the total amperage necessary to match the charge rate of the battery bank?

Other videos srate that it’s not the voltage but the internal resistance of the battery that determines the output of the charge controllers. So having identical controllers is not essential.

We are having difficulties with an AnyBridge: Connected to AnyGrid 6.5kW 48V 120VAC via RJ 45 RS232 cable Connected to AnyCell 5kWh 48V LFP ESS Green Power LED NEVER lights Yellow status LED is ALWAYS ON - no flickers Mobile Link App on Android can connect to AB and shows data from inverter however AB-PLC does not appear as a device and is not configurable and AnyCell does not appear as a device either I notice that the first connection attempt, we did not need to pair the device - it just connected automatically. SUbsequently we needed to first pair the device. With further farting around it appears that the AB does not properly gateway CAN2 traffic from ESS to inverter we get error 61 Even when pushing reset - no flickers from LEDs. It is interesting that the ANYGRiID does not show any status information of the AB - mandatory. Any ideas for resolution ?

i really appreciate your explaination which i have been looking for a long time...I do have an inverter with 450 vdc input and i notice even with the spd, the dc input alway get burn, now I understand that i have been using over rated spd of 500v and above

With the cost of the freezer we added delivery fees by land and then river barge delivery fees, bringing the total cost of this freezer (FR350-B) to just under $5000.00...and now with the purchase of a new ECU it puts it over $5000.00. In the three years we have had it, it has worked a total of 9 months....Just installed the new ECU and it still doesn't work...installed a new thermostat and it still does not work. So, if you live remote like we do, I urge you to shop around for alternatives.

This is by far the absolute best video explaining these devices. However, what would have made it even better would have been to show how to connect the actual devices, and explaining that these are a onetime use for a large spike and they can't be reset.

At 2:31 you address the noticeable different charging from different controllers. Many of us are calls this fighting and unproductive charging. Some controllers even have communication ports to stop this fighting. If you had a video addressing this subject it would be beneficial. I see quite a few of these are being made, and they don’t agree with each other.

Hi, so i have a 24v 3000w PowMr inverter. I attached a portable 400w solar panel but there is no solar displaying on the inverter. I'm getting 36v on the solar terminals coming from the pannel but the unit shows no solar displaying. The grid is charging my 24v battery and powering load but no solar

What we can tell you is that 36v on a 3000w inverter is very low voltage which could be a reason why it is not displaying the solar. I have 12 panels connected in series, the total open circuit voltage of the panels is 578v DC. Would a 600V DC SPD be sufficient to protect my setup? Also what about the wire gauge of the ground wire, I am using 9AWG ground wire.

Thank you for reaching out! If the inverter is having a blinking AC icon this is indicating that the inverter is not recognizing the generator. If the AC input icon is blinking that means that there is something going on with the generator itself. The generator is providing too high or low of a voltage and frequency which is why the inverter is not picking up the generator. After checking these, test and verify the generator and if it does not work, feel free to reach out to our tech support at [email protected]

Thank you for reaching out! The Any-Bridge does not need a solid state relay as it connects to the RS-232 connection. The solid state relay is an optional feature that the Any-Bridge has. The relay can be set to work with the battery for either detecting the battery SOC, turning on/off the generator or the loads. It is not something you need for the Any-Bridge to work, as long as it has a connection to the inverter for it to communicate and provide data.

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the delay. According to our technical team, since you have chosen 24V panels, we assume you are using PWM charge controllers. We recommend to use a panel with a Voc about x1.5-2 the battery bank voltage when using PWM controllers, so, for a 24V battery bank system we recommend a panel Voc of about 35-50V. To properly size your solar system you should make sure that your charge controller can handle the full short circuit current of your panels when using PWM controllers. So, you should make sure that the short circuit current of your x4 415W panels in parallel does not exceed the current rating of the PWM charge controller you choose. If the short circuit current is 10A, and you have 4 in parallel, you will need a 40A charge controller (like the CXNup40) Also, make sure that same current does not exceed the charge current rating of your battery pack.

Kindly read your manuals. Some of these new inverters can run without batteries or a/c input. So long as you have enough panels to generate the power you need it will run.

Question I have 2 PowMr 24v hybrid inverters 3000w each I have 24v 600ah Lipo4 battery bank can I connect both inverters to the 1 battery bank? But can I connect 4000w solar panels to 1 Inverter to charge the batteries ? The reason why because I don't want to split the panels in half and run another set of wires from my roof down to the garage it's to much work

Thank you for your comment, unfortunately, we cannot provide any technical support for products not made by Phocos - But, if you were using 2 Phocos PSW-H-3kW-120/24V inverters, you could connect both to the same battery bank and then only connect solar to one of the two inverters. With Phocos equipment, it is not necessary to have the same PV power on each MPPT. Please visit our website www.phocos.com to see a list of Phocos distributors near you.

According to our tech team, Acceptable SPDs for PV are the Citel DS240-350DC / Phoenix Contact VAL-SEC-T2-2+0-380DC-FM for the 230V models, and the Citel DS240-220DC / Phoenix Contact VAL-SEC-T2-2+0-220DC for the 120V models. For AC input, acceptable example SPDs are Citel DS41S-230 / Phoenix Contact VAL-MS 230 for the 230V models, and the Citel DS41S-120 or Phoenix Contact VAL-SEC-T2-1S-175-FM
