Mate, don’t be too disheartened. It’s a struggle for sure. I’m certainly no KZbin expert and my channel isn’t doing amazing so take from my advice what you want. It may help 1- To get monetised you need 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours (in any 12 months). To give you any idea on how much you’ll get. A video either 16000 views will get you around 100 euros. You’ve then got to pay tax on that 2 - Make videos that you enjoy watching yourselves 3 - Be careful of a lengthy intro. Your last two videos didn’t have an intro which is good I believe. The reason being is the first 30 secs of any video so so so important. Audience retention needs to be over 60% otherwise the algorithm won’t push your video anymore. 4 - your title and your thumbnail is very important too. What you promise the potential viewer in the title and thumbnail needs to be delivered within the first 30 secs. 5 - keep an eye on your stats in KZbin studio 6 - people love consistency, so pick a day and frequency of videos and stick to it. 7 - as you know likes and comments are very important as you know. Even a thumbs down is good too. Ask the viewers a question in your video and ask them to reply in the comment. People love to give advice 8 - never get merch. It seems to be the kiss of death lol 9 - I’ve noticed your phantom 3. Do footage of your house and garden. 10 - spend time working your video in the video subscription - it’s called SEOs - search engine optimisation. KZbin is linked to google so if someone is searching for something on google, and the phrase or sentence is in your video description it should highlight the video to them. 11 - don’t be too disheartened. It’s gonna take a while Good luck guys. Hopefully this is of help Rob

Apparently 70% of YT channels close within 18 months because of the time and effort required to produce a channel /lack of viewers/problems with YT. I also read that there are a lot of scammers target channels and KZbinrs have been stalked by dodgy people [mainly in the USA] maybe that's why YT have unsubscribed some suspect viewers. I think the best thing is to keep your actual exact location out of the picture. I found your house on Google Maps in minuets because you told us [I'm not nuts] I just wanted to see how close you were to Reims because I lived there once. I also think there are quite a few channels out there with the same or a similar name to your channel, maybe it's time for a slight change especially with the exciting new property in the near future [if you do let us all know]. I am loyal to new beginnings and love to see how people turn around a property in need of either a complete reno/modernisation or TLC, I think most people like to be 'in on it' from the start. You've already got great personalities and informative skills and I'm looking forward to seeing how Lorraine transforms a garden/veggie patch. So I predict lots more viewers for the new place. Sorry for the long post.
@frenchfarmhouserenovation71Күн бұрын
Thank you @sindy your comment makes sense I will be making changes for sure all around. YT is a learning process and one that takes time for smaller channels to get noticed. It is loyal subscribers like your self and our others we have that give us the determination to carry on. Lorraine is looking forward to getting her garden. Thank you so much for your comment😊

I have a septic tank/soak away shared with my neighbour. We haven't had it cleaned out for 5 years and although that's considered a long time it's working ok. We've recently had a quote for £450 [we pay half each] a much higher price than last time. I wish I was on mains drains because I've had to rod it out a few times due to blockages [baby wipes-not my fault] and it's not a job for the faint hearted. By the way the horse has FEATHER MITES [the hairy parts of the lower leg/heel/fetlock area are called feathers] I can tell because he has classic symptoms. There is a wealth of info on Google and YT about them. The condition looks petty advanced enough to warrant a vets visit which will have to include the feather being clipped off [it will grow back] If untreated they will get so bad that it causes life long very painful problems. The leg stamping is a sign of being in distress already. Sos for sounding like a bit of 'know it all' but I cringed watching him struggling.
