Jack Jones (Irwin Thomas) how could you feel bad about yourself EVER?! What an amazing singer you are, you have everything to feel proud of. Do you understand how many people would agree to shorten their lives just to have an ounce of your talent?

I come back to this interview when I’m struggling with artworks and staying motivated to push through the negative talk in my head that tells me my work is shit and why am I even bothering to draw. To hear someone as talented as him talk about feeling that way about his voice just blew me away. Just so much respect for his determination to push through.

It sounds like it's everyone's fault except your own. People got sick of your schtick which you refused to change. You either move with the times or get left behind.

Oh..... and fake head injuries. If you have a real brain injury then you have at least memory problems and can NOT defend yourself under rigorous cross examination. But if you can blame a small company , club or sport for anything, the criminal lawyers and their greedy mates ( pollies, judges, lawyers etc ) will support you to the hilt with known false and fake evidence provided by the health and associated industries . Almost all toddlers have ABI. Almost all of us fall over and bump our heads, HARD, when learning to walk or balance. Then we play games and sports that cause us to bang our heads more . If you don’t like the risks and dangers of life, then live in a stack hat and never leave your padded room.

The AFL and gay marriage / rights. I don’t care what anybody does as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone or produce an innocent victim. BUT..... I remember when the bosses of Jolimont House and the VFL all appeared to be blokey men. I can’t name one AFL boss who is not gay or female......talking about the AFL from its inception, but many of the clubs seem to be following the AFL’s unscrupulous leadership.

Re political correctness. It is actually a tactic of Socialism to forbid anyone from being honest, to tell the truth. Apparently the truth hurts and always hurts someone , especially politicians , judges and other criminals.

Nobody talks like Sam Newman because their minds are bound up in political correctness and fear ! The dumbing down process has taken 70 yrs and there's no going back . There's only one chance folks . Someone who knew what was going on 2000yrs ago and was murdered for delivering the escape plan.... The institutions that run this world (including religion) have the maggots of corruption from the smallest to great....

For all his bluster and carry on Sam Newman is one of the sharpest and deepest thinkers around. His thoughtful answers and consideration to the questions asked are honest and intelligent. He is absolutely spot on when it comes to the PC bullshit that has permeated society. I love his matter of fact style and it's a shame that more people these days aren't of similar ilk. Great questions too Rav, well done mate..

I like Sam… he is a true Australian legend. I can’t agree with the narrative on Garry Lyon. I’m no fan of his, Bill Brownless is a fool too… Footy Show was always respectable when Sam, Eddie & Trevor were in their pomp.

Chris Cheney is and always has been one of my idols for a VERY long time, since 1996 round about. I'll never have his guitar skills, and while that's difficult to accept sometimes, the living end's music and his guitar playing always inspires me and makes me dig in and spend hours learning his guitar parts by ear. Love the living end, it's a mystery to me that they weren't absolutely MASSIVE here in the United States. Everyone I ever introduce to their music falls in love with them though, and how could you not? They're amazing!

Sam was the best thing on TV since Paul Hogan and Norman Gunston ...he represented and encapsulated a spirit of the Australian psyche that sadly is being overshadowed by PC cretins hell bent on running the world with their feckless brand of tyranny. It seems there are vested interests among powers in this world who also aid and abet this course upon us and it should be resisted at all costs. The REAL Australia is fading away ... into a Globalist shit hole ... unless, we say NO!

I worked with Tim at that bar job. He's such a lovely man. I remember talking to one of the bar tenders when Tim was just starting and I don't think he believed me that Tim was going to be working there until Tim walked in, literally as we were having that conversation. The whole thing was like something out of a movie. The big rock star who randomly decides to get a job as a bar tender. He was always great to talk to, especially about music. Maybe one day our paths will cross again.
