Hi, Connie! I loved the history of the movie theatres on Front Street. The closing date of the Park Theatre is not correct. It actually closed at the end of 1986 with the final movie being No Mercy with Richard Gere and Kim Basinger. My mom and I were there for the early showing that evening before the theatre closed. There was also the Bellstar 3 that opened next to the former location of the Belle theatre. It opened in 1978 and closed in 2001. Both the Park Theatre and Bellstar 3 were owned by Ontario Theatres Group. I worked at the Park Theatre from 1982-1985 and returned for a few months in 1986.

My mom and I made many purchases at Reddick's Bakery over the years. Those were our treats for the weekend.

We move to Bancroft in 1958 from Kirkland land, the Faraday Uranium Mine Had built homes up on Faraday heights for the new miners, when the mines closed the first time we moved to Bramalea. My father missed Bancroft so much he always called it GODS COUNTRY. When the mines reopened in 1976 he moved back to The mine homes that were built on BOW LAKE for the mining staff...therein so much to do, Rock hounding, picking wild berries,boating, fishing, hunting, Egan shoot, eagles nest, hiking, snowmobiling, etc etc I miss it Nature at its best......♥️🕊♥️

Ok what do you mean by Dynamic? The dictionary definition says Dynamic means constant change. However in some of these small communities. Key Labor Struggles have been the same for upwards of 10 years. One example is our Transit system in Belleville. Which I have covered in depth. The Transit system is designed for consumption needs. If it was inteligently designed to help get people off of Social supports? You would tweak it. So that the Transit system is designed for output. Getting people in Bellevile to and from work. Not just at retail jobs, but a full service Manufacturing bus route as well.

Seeing photos of Belleville in its days of yor almost brings tears to my eye. Everytime I see the old quinte hotel and know she's lost forever makes me feel so sad. Excellent news. I was born in Trenton and remember the yearly Airshow. I was at the one in 2016, and I don't believe there has been one since. (Covid kinda broke the end of that trend). I know this one is special, but I very much would like to see the normal CFB Trenton Airshow come back to some regularity.
