Thanks, earned my sub! Each year I try and identify 2-3 weekly ranking sources to bounce off my own (I put together my own initial rankings before looking at the content of others). In my opinion Josh and Hayden are the current gold standard, I'm giving your rankings a shot as my 2nd source. While I disagree with some of your rankings, that's a GOOD thing. The value of independent rankings stems from identifying where our own biases are clouding perspective. A bit of feedback on what I think you're doing right (matches my criteria for who's opinion is worth consideration). 1) Sufficient analysis to justify rankings, while not getting too lost in next gen metrics (it's a delicate balance) 2) Avoid "hedging" towards expert consensus rankings (I'm immediately done when I suspect otherwise) 3) Fearless towards flag planting on contrarian opinions (and not afraid to own up to miscalculations the following week) 4) No detectable bias towards "pet" players or teams 5) Emphasis on the specific match-up over pure talent or recent performance An area that needs more attention. 1) A bit more emphasis on distinguishing between PPR and HPPR... it obviously makes a huge difference (example: a #5 ranking for Taylor makes sense in Standard, is a bit suspect for HPPR, and is ludicrous for PPR).
@aidanhollerКүн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback and welcome to the mean team! We typically do everything in terms of PPR but you make a really valid point. We’re still growing so any feedback is welcome and appreciated!

i'd love some advice for what to do with my flex spot in a full ppr league. The options are Zay Flowers, Najee Harris, George Kittle, and Xavier Worthy. I'm leaning towards Flowers or Harris but I'd really appreciate any thoughts from anyone regarding who to start (edit: for further reference my RB1/2 are White and Mason, my WR1/2 are Olave and Aiyuk, and my TE is LaPorta)
@TroyCosta-zg2vx2 күн бұрын
I like to go upside with my flex so I’d play worthy, but the safe play is flowers. I just see it being a run heavy attack against the raiders playing with a lead the entire game.

Zay and Harris are pretty safe picks with high floors but agreed Worthy gives you the highest upside!

@aidenholler I have waddle on my roster any thoughts on what should be my plan going forward, 1/2 PPR 12 team league, Kyler, AJ brown, Marvin Harrison JR, Gibbs, Kumara, Bowers. I have Kirk, Jaylen Warren, jakobi myers, Bucky Irving, Juwan Johnson. I traded Pittman jr for Harrison jr after week 1 for the stack, straight up. Now I’m wondering do I bench and hold waddle or try and move him and something else to improve at my flex or WR and love Harrison jr to flex? All Input is welcome. Cheers

@@pearson4068 I think I’m holding waddle personally. I like your lineup where it’s at + some good bench depth. Would be good to get some clarity on what’s gonna happen with the Fins QB job, but if you get a deal you can’t resist where you clearly winning I wouldn’t knock you for taking it!

In my opinion, the issue with Harrison is AZ's QB Murray, he is way too short, and his front line and opposing teams' front line are way too big for him to see that far down field and Murray's front line can't give Murray that extra second or two that he needs, why do you think Murray has to scramble all the time. Murray needs to be traded away from AZ.

As a Lamar and Andrews owner, how much FAAB towards Likely? Think with Andrews injury history it would be smart to have him as a handcuff, and would probably start him next week given the involvement discrepancy this week. Headache would be flipping the coin every other week on who to start...

I think it depends on your TE room and if it’s TE Premium but you could talk me into anywhere in the 30-50% range. Him and Andrews will be on the field together this year he’s too good to be taken off at this point, especially when you consider the WR room.

KC has a very good defense and they doubled & triple teamed Andrews all game long *as they always do.* Andrews has been historically shut down by KC in the 5 games he’s played against them…he even posted a “ZERO” against KC before. So considering the history of Andrews playing against KC…this is a sever overreaction. As far as Likely…KC left him wide freaking open in the flats on a majority of his catches. There wasn’t a defender around him. Baltimore doesn’t play KC every week, but the hope is Likely will become the #2 WR on a team with a trash WR core.
