Propaganda from the electric company. Homeowners producing solar electricity producers reduce the amount of pollution in the air thus lowering healthcare costs for all and of course are providing clean energy to the grid to be used by all. The true costs of the utility purchasing dirty fossil fuel-based electricity needs to be factored in. Utilities have been producing record revenue for their shareholders.

EV’s are government control and tracking machines that burn coal. Nothing at all wrong with internal combustion engines. They expel plant food.

I would NEVER purchase any electric vehicle. The Democrat liberal stigma along with their fake man climate agenda has turned us off. I even cut off all my catalytic converters on my trucks for spite…..

Actually, a nuclear plant can produce 15.5 MWh/sqm, with solar panels we can have 63 kWh/sqm. Unfortunately.

Yes, nuclear plants producemore energy per square meter of utilized area compared to solar panels, but your numbers aren't right. 15.5 megawatt hours per square meter is an insane number that doesn't even make sense that's literally an explosion. For example, I live very close to the Palo Verde nuclear power plant in Arizona and that sits on 4,000 acres of land and produces 4 gigawatt now most of that land isn't heavily utilized, but that gives you an example of what is actually existing.

Home solar user here. I pay for the energy I use from the grid. I also pay various "supply" and "Generation" fees along with my usage. I'm now paying for solar panels AND for my provider's infrastructure. I'm not sure how "outdated policies" are causing my neighbors to pay more for energy or how I'm "not paying my fair share". This video seems dishonest.

Fully agree! Transport of energy shows up on my bill same as it always did before solar grid tie. I don't get that statement either...

All electric costs are regulated by your state and federal agencies. The electric company does not set them, but they can ask for rate increases when their cost for infrastructure maintenance and improvements exceeds their costs. They technically cannot be for profit. The fees that you see are in response to the government agencies requiring the utilities to maintain certain requirements. The government introduces new requirements like a certain amount of electricity being renewable, and incentives given to home owners so that way they feed back to the grid, without any input for the utility. Because of the excess feedback, the utilities will get to a point (and already have) where there is too much back feed so they now need to install a lot of new higher tech equipment to better manage the back feed while trying to not waste the energy. There are also fines related to power outages so if there is a storm or even if equipment gets overloaded there is a very high fine for time lapsed during an outage. That is why there are infrastructure and delivery fees. If you have an issue with it you should complain to your state government and the federal government. Unfortunately, depending where you live the area may have hit the inflection point where there are massive upgrades needed to the system and infrastructure. Additionally, new developments also require high demand and that could trigger an entire substation build. Since utilities are government regulated, the cost for this work then has to be spread out between the customers as definitely by the governing bodies.
