How to power a train?

Mainly steam pistons from boiler, the boiler being heated by gas, meths or coal. but the diesel looking locos will be battery powered. (No powered rails, no fake steam).

32mm gauge, real steam or battery powered. Some have remote control, some are manual like the Ellie’s and you run after them

All the rails are dead rail, this loco carries a battery onboard and remote control
