I’m pretty sure isayama was planning a full rumbling but the executives intervened and he had to choose a new ending which was rushed and not well thought out. Story wise the original ending would have been better but if you consider the message…well since isayama seems to have nationalistic views and how he tried to portray false hatred towards white Europeans for their past crimes and guilt in the real life … it would have been a very disgusting ending to say the least. This one is still disturbing but at least here Eren is shown as a loser and eldians get wiped out in the extended ending

I still feel sad for Griffith, unlike the majority of Berserk fans I do not hate him, I just feel sad. His only true friend left him (deep down he knew that Guts was his friend regardless of his philosophy), he was brutally tortured for a year, lost everything, was turned into a living corpse, during his weakest moment the Godhand perfectly manipulated him and gaslighted him into sacrificing his band and friends to achieve his dream. How many of you would be able to resist if you were in the same situation? He is a tragic character, so is Guts, Casca and basically everyone else in Berserk. It's a cruel horrible world. I am not defending what he did to Casca, that was sick and uncalled for. I just want Griffith and Guts to reconcile but knowing Berserk that probably won't happen.

I cry, this song is really associated with the end. here they are, it seems that everything is over and now you can start a new life, but they have lost so many friends that they will never be able to live like ordinary people, the ghosts of the past will haunt them further. very sad, Eren didn't deserve to die like this. I so hoped that he would be spared and live out the last 4 years of his life together with Mikasa, but alas. I didn't read the manga, but before the final episode came out, I saw Edit in tik-tok and I already knew that everything would end badly, I was mentally preparing myself, but I still cried for more than an hour after the episode came out, I still can't watch this anime without crying. watch it all over again, how Eren is happy about something, how he loves his friends knowing that in the end they will kill him because it's the right thing to do.
