Thank you❤️ If you give Vitamin D supplements, the kidneys won’t be able to convert it to it’s active form(calcitriol) So do you give the vitamin D in its active form?

Thank you for this video. Are there any vitamins or diet changes that can help prevent the CPPD build up? Are there any other treatments other than steroids or nsaids?
@JennyWren333
@JennyWren333 Жыл бұрын
My rheumatologist, who treats my CPPD, says “not really”. There is a drug…colchamine (sp) that may be helpful but I prefer getting the injections over taking in more chemicals. My doc is an Angel who uses the smallest needle to inject steroids so it’s not so bad. The episodes are awful. The pain relentless, constant; feels like broken glass under the skin of my wrists. I also get red blotches that look like round red bruises. They don’t hurt and they just come and go.

When this problem leads to osteoporosis of the bones - whereas the causative agent for the thinning of the bones is -chronic kidney disease-- this complication is classified as "renal osteodystrophy."

I was 24 when I got this... twas an aweful 2 weeks before I accepted that I am too young to have arthritis. Fasting and dieting helped a lot, not that enjoyed that process. Now, in my 30s, whenever it gets cold, I am like my uncles getting pains on their knees haha
