What an amazing job. I have a '76 KH400 in excellent survivor condition. It has just over 3000 miles and it has a small dent in the tank. I should look into PDR.
@ProPDRofGa6 күн бұрын
I’m sure it’s fixable especially being small….definitely worth looking into.

How long real time did it take and cost for one hour . Total cost 2024 ?
@yoshy40723 ай бұрын
Do it yourself, for example where I live only one guy does PDR.....but he wont touch bikes. I bought a few tools and did a perfect job on a bad dent on my Hayabusa.....just take baby steps, watch a few vids on how to and give it a try.

Help me please with an advice.How can i remove the plastic trim from the gas tank? Thanks...
@ProPDRofGa3 ай бұрын
I haven’t done that so I’m not sure. If there are no visible screws then it could be clips behind the plastic or maybe even taped on but I’m not sure.

Why was pushing the choice for this repair instead of glue pulling?
@ProPDRofGa3 ай бұрын
The aluminum is really thick so pushing was a better method, and time I can push a dent vs glue pulling it, that would be a better method. Glue pulling is primarily for inaccessible damage or in a combo repair with pushing.

Could you send the clear with 800 or 1000 and add another couple coats of clear so that the chips in the clear are less apparent?

Potentially, I’ll be the first to admit I’m more experienced in PDR than paint touch up….plus the customer was planning on handling the paint on his end

How does this work for double-wall tanks? I've got a Yamaha Bolt with a quarter sized dent in the shape of the piece of gravel it was sitting on after turning sideways on a driveway curve. Crease in the middle like this video. If you can't get to the backside, what's the best thing to pull small dents? I'd rather not bondo and sticker over it. I think clean and simple looks better.
@ProPDRofGa6 ай бұрын
I actually do not believe it’s double walled, in fact, I’ve never seen a double walled tank. I have seen tanks with limited access, but most of them are just hollow inside. Yamaha bolts can have restricted access, but if it’s fuel injected, I think there is a large opening in the bottom. If you want to send me some photos, I can have a look at it for you and see what can be done about it. [email protected]
