Love what you've done, nice piece of craftsmanship. However if it would have been my tank I would have choosen to repaint it. The current paintjob on this tank really isn't that nice.
@ProPDRofGaАй бұрын
Totally understand. I think a lot of these vintage tank customers just like the idea of keeping the original paint to preserve history, even if it isn’t pristine.
@wernerxldata29 күн бұрын
@@ProPDRofGa Yeah probably, I'm personally more focussed on a perfect look 🤣 But I'm interested in this way of repairing, I think I want to learn this as well, it's cool.

bro,,,put water in tank fill put in freezer ,,dent gone. why has this not caught on. big island
@ProPDRofGaАй бұрын
@@acim2228 that doesn’t net you a perfect repair like this does. It may shrink the dent but the metal will be wavy. Also it’s risky because paint can easily crack when it’s cold and when the metal moves….safest way is to use heat to keep everything flexible including the paint.

Wat is the most common cause of these kinds of dents generally..... I recently discovered one small dent on the lower side of the left rear passenger door today on my xjl 2016...... It just suddenly appeared out of nowhere... Now I don't know who did it and when did they do and when did it happen? But I want to try to know what's the common cause It has only been in couple of parking lots and ones in a Jaguar dealership in the past week.... And the dent was not there before the past week
@ProPDRofGaАй бұрын
These were all mostly just common door dings cause from other people opening car doors up and hitting them. I’d say that’s the number one cause….also shopping carts.

Help me please with an advice.How can i remove the plastic trim from the gas tank? Thanks...
@ProPDRofGa5 ай бұрын
I haven’t done that so I’m not sure. If there are no visible screws then it could be clips behind the plastic or maybe even taped on but I’m not sure.

Why was pushing the choice for this repair instead of glue pulling?
@ProPDRofGa6 ай бұрын
The aluminum is really thick so pushing was a better method, and time I can push a dent vs glue pulling it, that would be a better method. Glue pulling is primarily for inaccessible damage or in a combo repair with pushing.
