That's not how you climb a rope ladder...

Are you talking about swinging your legs around outside of the rope and standing on the rung? AKA: The preferred method?

Hi. It all depends on which ladder you’re climbing / space between the rungs etc. The rungs on the DLT are much further apart than a standard tactical ladder (most are 25 - 30cm). Unless you have a super deep lock, a good technique is to drop your knee, and this gives you far more reach without the lock - thus saving a lot of energy. It’s pointless climbing this with a heal around the back etc - it’s simply not efficient.

This would be nice for slot canyons and caving

Absolutely! We do supply this with yellow cord for visibility with cave and rescue in mind (both in 10ft and 16ft ). If you need grip tape adding - no probs. Thanks for the comment!

What’s that rope rated for? I have doubts that it could handle a fall factor 2.

Agree with @ripperkon. Wondering what type of rope, it's length, does it need to repeal water / snow and diameter.

yes you can, anyone with a few thousand bucks can. You can’t just buy it online by adding it to a cart, you have to contact the manufacturers, but yes anyone can buy one.

We would love to be able to product test this system in conjunction with a few other tactical climbing products we are scheduled to review in the coming months.
