There were a multitude of things to see in this layout and you have done an exceptionally impressive job in capturing it. Many thanks for your upload.

Its wonderful detail. It was a real joy to film, lots of interest, and Ian had a knack of running trains just where I wanted without me having to say a word.

You have filmed a fantastic view of the layout. @4:30 - I liked the "Sunday Diversion" sign. Many thanks for the upload.

This is beautifully filmed. It also captures the tranquility which is often associated with a recent snow fall. The trees look quite realistic, as does the drizzle of snow which is on the buildings. @01:37 --> One can picture people dashing into the building to get some warmth, which is often what happens when it snows in The UK.

Your sound effects on this layout are brilliant. I am fairly confident that the creator of this also built "Rainbow Rock," which is colourful, vibrant and massive. Many thanks for taking the time to make this video. It must have taken you ages to find precise and suitable sounds.

I really like the bird noise @02:15. One of the most alluring aspects of your videos is your attention to the details on the layouts. For example, @ 02:29, you showcase some of the passengers and furthermore, you make a concerted effort to show viewers the detail of Haydon Square. Many thanks for taking the time to create this video. Your hard work is much appreciated.

Great railway, but only one thing stood out. I don't think the situation on lawnmowers were around in that period
@DelticFilmАй бұрын
Ride-on Lawnmowers are not my area of expertise. I think the layout is roughly about the time of my youth? If so, cylinder mowers were more common, and there were ride-on versions, usually in the form of an articulated seat with two wheels. I am fairly certain that the type in the video did exist then? But were uncommon and frowned upon for being too American?

Marley Pots has one "T"
@DelticFilm2 ай бұрын
Marley Potts is the spelling that the owner of the layout uses. I am not from the area, but from what I can research online, both Pots and Potts, are used, the latter spelling being the older, used on old maps of the area when it was clay pits. The local football team is Sunderland Marley Potts First. But you are correct that on modern maps it is Pots.

I must say that this was some very lovely filming and nicely done on capturing some of the interesting scenes that are easily missed.
@DelticFilm2 ай бұрын
Oh, thank you Nick. I've done lots of stills photograph, but video is very new to me, and I am on a very steep learning curve. You say "capturing some of the interesting scenes" when I come to editing, I spot all the nice bits I missed!! Like the snowman outside the farmhouse. I'm pleased I slightly underexposed it to empathise the bleak wintery-ness. But could do better It's definitely easier with such a sunning layout. Paul has done a superb job, on what must have been really difficult to pull off. He is the master here
@nickcowley56682 ай бұрын
@ Yes I think it’s a lovely thing and I really enjoy operating it. I’m sure he’ll see this and appreciate your kind comments. I made a few KZbin videos of my old layout and I know how much time it takes to put them together, but then I knew where all the bits I wanted to film were! 😂 Keep up the good work 👍

A wonderful layout. It is intriguing that you did not focus a substantial amount of your video on the actual station. I really like the way in which you filmed this. For example, the camera angles are excellent, which enables one to appreciate the details of the layout, ie 05:03. Many thanks for your video.

Many thanks for this. 0:31 - Great and ideal sound, which is consistent throughout your video. 0:53 - Was there seriously a red one? The scene changes are smooth and non-jarring. In relation to the second term, I often notice that a scene often changes too abruptly and not for any visual reason. This Irish layout is impressive and the man who created it is just so kind and lovely.
