Great video - yea what I learned is to now buy the cheapest cars at Auction have low pricing to match the competition. Than build up your fleet to have volume, when your cars do get totaled you do make a profit and you rinse and repeat. Also charge for all the incidents you will have, like cleaning fee, over mileage, smoking, damage etc...charge for airport delivery too. I found its a cool business but the margins are similar to other businesses 10-20% profit.

For 2024 we had 33% Margin near inline with that of 2023 from only 2 economy units, and 8x 2023 profits. Optimizing the bookings and keeping the monthly utilization high was key. Note. This is outside of USA, but same can apply. I would love to know more about how turo works there.

I was end up making 25% profits 4,200+ without maintenence fee of the car.. Question for you, How much avg profit per year? I would not use my personal car for Turo. The very first renter I had got into an accident, it wasn't totaled but if it was my own car, I would have been one and done because I have an emotional attachment to my cars, but my Turo cars I can care less. I also do not have a car wash subscription anymore. I hose my car down at home and dry them off. I only clean the windows and vacuum the inside. One last hack is do not drive the Turo cars in between rentals; this saves gas. The 4 to 6 dollars to top off the gas tank to make it full for the next rental adds up through out the year. Author just stated facts! I only considered doing Turo after I set up, my own used car dealer business, mechanic shop and body shop businesses, only then Turo numbers started making sense for me. Otherwise people who “make” money on turo have no idea what they are doing
