True... I do believe, however, that he wasn't exactly very sympathetic when their kits drowned. But, I haven't read the book, so I might be wrong, but I do believe that he was the kindest towards her once she joined Riverclan.

More of my problem with him was him just going into the fight without a plan, especially with Brightheart with him. I understand his impatience, but he really shouldn't have gone into a fight with an unknown enemy without a plan.
