The stress test was a disaster, me and my friends couldn't get a single game in, taking forever to join a game only for it to say 'full' when it appeared to have plenty of slots and we couldn't host either. Ranked also was perma-stuck on matchmaking.

Poseidon felt strong with the earliest advance time I saw it get being 3:15, with heros on the opponents eco as early as 3:30. Then the cav raiding with all the upgrades it can research for additional hp regen, attack and speed, felt strong to me

I'd like to see the two following things happen: 1. Norse in general. Jarls get moved back to Hill Forts. Jarls get a x2 bonus vs. myth units. Njord's Ring Giver restores the full x4 bonus. Maybe Portable Rams get moved to Great Halls instead 2. Odin in particular. HP bonus moved back to Hill Fort units instead of Great Hall units. Feels weird to see him get extra HP Raiding Cavalry, Hersirs & Godi but not Huskarls

Haven't really seen anything of that nature yet, but there have been some balance changes between the closed beta and stress test. I kinda doubt we will see any major unit redesigns though... Too much other stuff to work on 😅

It's more about Atty feeling weak than Gaia being weak. Specifically the turma seems tough to use now that you can dodge the projectiles.

Before the stress test went live, Oranos had a datamined Major god bonus of giving +1 attack to all of human units in the range of fully revealed Oracles. I do not think this bonus would change his placement, but it's such a shame they decided against it - it's the kind of bonus I really like playing with (although I feel like Gaia is by far the most suited to my playstle of all the Atlantian gods). Oranos honestly feels unfinished in the current state. But well, they are still re-balancing the game prior to release, and no doubt will continue to do so post release. So hopefully he gets better

Saw people using them to deny enemy town centers as they were being built. Think they have more dps now than they did in the past, at least they seemed to attack much faster (besides their instakill ability on soldiers)

Our tier lists are really similar Boit! I do think you are heavily underrating zeus and Gaia however. Most of the other god placements are about the same for me. Where do you think Egyptian would be on this list based on the beta before this one?

Gaia maybe. She needs some time to work out. The Gaia lush seems really good but the classical age seems really really weak. Time will tell! Zeus... Maybe at lower levels but he seemed to struggle at higher levels, especially against the top tiers this stress test.

Loving the content, am a newbie coming back to the game after 15+ years! Out of curiosity, I presume this tier list is differentiable only at the micro level? For example a top player with a D tier civ would still beat a mid player with an S tier civ?

With eggy being disabled it seems like they are going to be getting some sort of a rework so I wouldn't be surprised if they are in a completely different spot in the tier list with the next look at them!

Great video boit, what i wanted to add about what you said about loki going heimdall is also the upgrade rigsthulla ( or however it's called) which not only gives 20% quicker research time and unit production but also quicker age up, so that buffer njord you were talking about can come in even quicker!

They actually changed it in the recent stress test update and now lightstorm doesn't hit son of osiris or nidhogg

I agree it's bonkers strong, but when everyone else above him I'm just not sure he's going to be able to utilise these Mythic age things all to well as he will be a shell of himself by the time he gets there.

yeah if you look at the premium version of the game it tells you that it includes a chinese expansion and then another expansion after it, but as far as I am concerned we don't know anything else about when they will be released and what the other civ is

I'm 1650 3v3 on Voobly but I managed to get to 1350 on 3v3 (which is somewhere like 1800 on Voobly if i had to guess) with my friends on Retold by playing Odin semi fast heroic into Njord. And I was almost undefeated until I encountered keen flame. Now, I know that 3v3 is not as competitive, and this is stress test, and there were a lot of begginers, but still I feel like i should been able to get that far. Noob shouldn't get near experts. If this doesn't show how OP Odin is IDK what will. And this comes from a Norse main btw.

It seems to me that players that actually went into their games with a strategy or an idea were doing much better than players who would kind of just 'play,' so it doesn't surprise me that you did well with that strategy at all! Though I do think Njord is bonkers

Did anyone attempt to timeshift their starting temple close to the enemy base as they age up to Heroic Age to insta push with 2 Behemoths? I saw a comment cooking such an idea, but perhaps it's too easy for the enemy to prevent?

People usually do that in the classical age to instantly Uber the 2 free Prometheans right inside enemy base when they're still sitting in Archaic lol

I did (with some support) but my opponent was making mass elder cyclops so was able to barely defend it. I think it can work- you just need an opponent that isn't playing super abnormally.

I agree with the list. Iam sure that devs will tune up/down for the release some changes. But iam kinda also sure that they dont have deep understanding WHO and WHY. Could you talk to them to Quality assurance please? Btw. Whats wrong with your camera? Its shaking a lot like ragnarok is coming by every second

I don't think there's been any information about another pre-access type thing unfortunately. If there is I hope every god is included. Was sad I couldn't play my beloved Set. 😭

@@BoItTV On instagram they named the last stress test „Stress Test 1“ so I think there will be atleast one more. Yeah it was kinda weird that one of the old civs was missing.
