Safe Harbor is top notch. River and Post is a good place to eat downtown. Cowford Chophouse is really good too.

In between the insanely strong currents and the massive amount of gators including huge ones, ur crazy asf for swimming in this river. I lived on it for awhile, would never ever swim in it. which was actually banned because of gators where i was on it. I remember when the huricane came through if u shined a flashlight across the river it was solid gator eyes at the surface reflecting back every like 2 inches for as far as u could see, had to be hundreds of them in theres. Fished it some but the currents make it hard to keep ur line out from the shore and flaoting weed islands and mass amounts of boats making u have to reel it back in every few minutes or more make it pretty shitty place to try to relax and fish. Is a beautiful place to just relax and chill though.

This is the best restaurant in Deland. Half Wall is definitely competing with the burgers but BakeChop is so creative and fresh ingredients holy s* I want some watermelon feta salad... I'm going to BakeChop.
