I bought a smaller version for my son to tryout. It just used two propellers for all functions. Works fabulous and I enjoyed it so much, thought I’d give this one a try. I have a more complex motor glider but it’s not as fun to fly because I’m not that skilled and I’m tense. Plus I’ve got a lot tied into it money wise. Kind of misses the point. This looks like the ticket.

@@looneytunes47 Yes but I have flown it with the fins on and they ripped out of the plane on the first landing. If you are belly landing don't put the fins on. If not use them.

Nice jet man, if you Change the esc to 6s capable esc at 60amp and run the stock motor on 5s 1600 or 1800mah lipo. You will reach Mach 1, I did this setup on the old e flite 64mm f16 back in 2019 is on my KZbin if you go through my video list and see. I was hitting 130mph as3x was freaking out but it was freakin awesome.

Did you hand launch that yourself while holding the transmitter? cause damn in impressed probably one of the best hand launches ive seen all year on youtube ive got the same jet but havent maidened it yet anything i should watch out for? Thanks

Yup. Transmitter in my right and tossed it with my left. The F-16 is easy to hand launch because you can easy grip the round intake underneath. The F-22 on the other hand is too wide for me to grip so I installed a little thin handle on the bottom of that one. I did install a Spektrum AR630 receiver so that I can hand launch it in SAFE mode but I have forgotten to turn SAFE on a couple times and she launched exactly the same. Give it a 45 to 50 degree up with full throttle and she launches perfectly every time. Of all my planes this is one of the easiest to hand launch.

@@RKIVIDS Glad to hear that cause i bought 2 of them and plan on hand launching them a bunch. i also have the newer v2 fms f-15 eagle 64mm and that one has a wide flat bottom and is a challenge to hold while hand launching but the plane has such amazing thrust and power to weight with a 2200mah 50c battery i basically just let go of it and it pulls away on its own well over 1 to 1 power. You should get one of those cause there only like $154 delivered on FMS web site right now

If you cant be bothered with LiHV batteries or the SMC USA only brand as you live outside USA and this being an international forum and want even better performance from your 64mm and your 80A esc... just use a 5S 2200. Im at 5° not 30° and my thrust gains are about 40%. 75A and over 1500W. Quite a few brands do 5s. My personal recommendation is internationally available CNHL 2200 5s 70c for all my 64mm jets. 3.5min timer.

Does you charger support the LiHV packs? If not, they charge to 2000 and the lower voltages similar to stock. I've got the same setup :) Fantastic plane, I'm on my 3rd one ;0) I finally took the gear off and do belly landings with it too. It took me a few years as well to fly mine. The last time I had messed with RC as a hobby was 1985 lol.

I flew it yesterday on the LIHV setup with full advanced timing set to the highest (30 degrees) and I fried the XFLY motor. Or the bearings went out. I think it may have been the bearing because it doesn't smell burnt. I'm putting in another XFLY 4s but this time I am going with the default timing of 18 degrees. The peak amps drop from 67.4 down to 59.4 and the peak watts down from 1067 to 878. Hopefully I won't fry the next motor.

The ESC timing in this video was set to low. So the measurements you see in the video at the 12 minute mark is at low timing. After setting ESC timing to high it increased the Peak Watts to 1000.3 watts and Peak Amps to 64.8 A

Outstanding, love vids like this. I do a lot of mods to my jets as well. I don't have this particular jet but might get it because I've been looking for an F22 64mm to play with. I want to know which KV you are using? Or if you know if your xfly motor is the 4s or 3s version. It's pulling a lot of amps if it is the 4s version, then it shouldn't be that high. I usually see about 43amps and 1300 gramps of thrust peak and about 650 WP. I've done some 6s bench and in plane testing in my T7a 64mm I'd like to share if interested, might render you the power you're looking for. I also used the 5280 AB but has switched to RC geeks AB and it's much much brighter. And it has enough thrust now the AB doesn't even matter. 👍 Great video ill be subscribing.

I forgot the Greyhound we adopted to keep Cloe company! A big black dog with long legs!! Commander was jet black and just as sweet as can be! One day Mary was working at her desk and Cloe would run into the office and then out again and did that a few times. Our friend down the street called and said the Greyhound is stuck in a big ditch and couldn't get out!! Cloe was trying to tell mom that her pal was in trouble!! She was way too smart! We would joke about that for years

To all the pets I had LOVED before! Starting with Whisky Man. Had to give him away because got a new job and couldn't take him to work with me anymore! He was alone all day my himself not fair to him. That was over 55 yrs ago & I still have sad feelings about that. He did go to a good home with land!! Next was marriage and my new wife had a white long dog with 2 inch little legs. Was white as snow. Annie was her name. The sweetest dog we knew. Next was Cloe the Standard poodle!! The most human dog we knew!! Next we got Guy & Katie, more Standard poodles. Had to put Guy down at 7 because of cancer in his mouth! Katie was never the same after her brother past! Loved and miss them all.

This song and Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks have always almost brought me to, or sometimes even succeeded to bring me to tears since I was a young child in the 70's. I didn't even know until I was in my late 40's that this song was about a dog being pulled away by the ocean.

I wish I never found out this song was about losing a pet. Now it breaks my heart as I think of the dog swimming out to sea and maybe finding an island with a tree like the one in the backyard. Dogs are such beautiful animals that touch our hearts in such a special way. Pipsqueak, Sunny and Tippy I hope we will meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. I love you all so much. ❤💔
