I see this a lot in my backyard which is basically a forest. I toss our food scraps away from the house in a snowy ditch and the crows and ravens come and have a party. I sit and watch the fun from the bedroom window.

Anybody, whose had a crow as a pet, will know just how much they love neck & head rubs. Pet crows just loved to be petted. They feel acceptance & being value within the family, because of it. We had a pet crow for over 10 years & she would asked to be preened frequently.

I am fortunate to have a huge parking area across from me, in the winter it's always full of crows playing and being silly. The drop snow on each other and roll around. I've seen a video of them using plastic cup lids like a toboggan to kind of surf down a roof. Another video of them playing on a snowing car, they roll down the windshield like kids rolling down a hill! They are so much like us in many ways. They have sense of self, and complex problem solving. They are amazing birds ❤️

Astonishing to see how playful the ravens are. I adore corvids for their feisty spirit. May I ask what the mammal was, and if its tail looked healthy?
