Yea long videos are nice. A mix of overall progress and more in depth specific projects sounds good. It’s always good to see the problems you encounter and how you work towards the solution. Those types of videos have helped me with my own niche issues I’ve come across. 🔥

Understand your problem because C6 and C5 both have vibration damper problems now because I am in my early seventies I don’t work on my C6 had dealership make the repairs

Take your fill cap off before you drain. No air coming in creates a vacuum that holds the oil back. Hope this helps you out.

Hey there Dee. I am sorry that happened. But for all those who might be wondering, what brand lifters did you go with and where did you get them? If you say A ma zon, or Comp Cams, that may be the reason why. Comp Cams lifter failures are happening all over the internet. And if anyone gets "no-name" fake GM lifters in a plain box off of A ma zon, they're just asking for something bad to happen. On my '04 C5 vette, I went with Johnson "slow leakdown" 2110R roller lifters from Michigan Motorsports. They are usually around $766.32 for a set of 16 lifters. And they better be in a sealed blue box with an American flag logo and "Johnson Lifters made in the USA". With their toll free number printed on the label. If it's not because of cheap parts, then the cam, lifter, pushrod combo was wrong. Too much lift, push rods too long binding the valve springs, I'm guessing here. The Johnson 2110R lifters are .005" shorter in height than LS7 Lifter. And GM Performance tested them to outperform their own LS7 lifters. Check it out for yourself. Again I'm sorry that happened.

They were genuine ls7 lifters from the dealer. I went and got them myself and paid a pretty decent amount for them. Definitely a shitty situation but I no longer have the car so as far as a fix I’m not entirely sure what it will take. The new owner will be changing a lot so it doesn’t matter much anymore just another lesson learned.

@@Thebossdee I was not expecting them to be from a dealership. That is a sad situation for sure. But you sold the car so it's not your problem anymore. I did watch another vid of you digging through the boxes of new parts and I didn't see you mention the brand so I thought I'd ask. You know, GM comes up with one of the stoutest engines they ever produced and it is plagued with valve drop issues and well, what happened to your LS7 build leaves me wondering why? Take care and don't quit your passion.
