Well technically this is a port of a game originally made for the Vita. So there’s only so much they could do visually. I do agree that the performance isn’t perfect. But it’s plenty playable like you said.

I picked this game up last week... I love it thus far.... my switch light is my go-to machine for metroidvania games.

eastward is a game with a lot of small nags and a few big issues. it is a labor of love, and it absolutely has "masterpiece moments." the artwork is stunning, the music is pitch perfect, and the combat will make you wish they did not make the combat like that

I’ve got 30 and T and I love it. I’ve tried to unlock some of the original units I’ve got some of them but not all of them my one is in English. The other one I have which is T is only in Japanese not in English. I’ve got mine from Mandarake Japan.

I got it for like 2-3$ at the end of 2024 and event that was too much for this game. After 20 minutes I was over it. It is so repetitive, does not compare to nintendog. There is no agility, only frisbee competition that is really badly calibrated. Don't do it, it's not worth it lol

Thank you, I'm sold. I wasn't sure if I wanted this so I played the demo. The demo was dumb. Only allowed a time trial. That's it. So I was even more not knowing if this was for me. So I looked up reviews and came across yours. This looks really good. And the difficulty spike... my favorite mario game is mario 2 (fds version) so I love a good challenge. I'm going to getting the physical version for the switch. :)

Finally I grabbed physical version of this game for 60$.
