Hi Jeff! This video was so helpful, about to take a trip up the coast to Oregon, it’s going to be pretty rainy. If the tent I’m bringing is 17’x9’, how much bigger should the tarp be?

WHEN ANYTHING WORKS TO HELP AID PEOPLE INTO RECOVERY HEALING, BEING FUNCTIONAL.... THEY TAKE it OFF THE MARKET. THEY ALWAYS AIM AT DEPRIVING PEOPLE OF ANY COMFORT VERSUS THE SADISTIC ANGUISH AGONY PAIN INCLUDING CHILDREN, BABIES!!! These ARE SADISTIC PEOPLE THAT HAVE REMAINED IN CONTROL TO KEEP sickness, pain GOING ON FOR CENTURIES. THOSE SADISTIC DRS WHO TORTURED PEOPLE IN GERMANY FOR Hitler were brought back here to live & work here. THINK !!! IT MATCHES PRECISELY WITH WHAT WE ARE ALL GOING THRU. WITH TODAYS FAR ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, advanced education, endless data and IT still FEELS LIKE WE'RE ALL SUBJECTED TO THE SAME ancient HISTORY TORTURES. There once was Humphreys tablets for relief for babies teething... But there has not been any replacement or substitute for it that matches what good pain relief and Humphreys did for centurys. Needles and shots for people & babies and dentist surgeries, Brain surgeries; even for babies... They give no pain meds to help people thru recovery... And are released from surgeries early with recommendations to use any generic brand at Dollar store. Babies are suffering and being sacrificed to experiment procedures that never help or cure them. They offer thousands speculations, theories, solutions Yet no TESTIMONT claims any cures for anyone. People go too many years uncured & are wandering around confused, clueless, looking to each other for comfort advice, cures, pain relief....since Drs Dentist can't do it.

Thank you for sharing your story which is hard to listen to but of course harder to live. Good luck to you T

Great video! If I might offer a couple of suggestions regarding wind: try running a single rope for your ridge-line, and draping the tarp over the rope - like a sheet on a clothesline. For extra stability, you can tie the rope to the higher side of the peak (looping it through the grommet) - but even if you don't, the corner-ties will keep it in place. This has a few benefits: 1. This saves cutting you rope into pieces (though, admittedly, you'll need a few feet more, to go under the tarp). 2. It distributes the force across the width of the tarp, instead of tugging at one grommet point. In high winds, a single grommet-point could tear out. This will not occur with a ridge-line running underneath. Second point: wind will cause a tarp to billow and roll, unless it's snugged down very tight indeed. This rolling can cause those sticks to shake loose, if one corner happens to go slack. This is especially true with "slippery" ropes like nylon paracord or some plastics. Nobody wants to lose a corner in the midst of wind and rain, and have to go out in the wet to fix it. If the tarp *is* pulled extremely tight, it stops the tarp from billowing, but it puts a lot more strain on the grommets - which can tear out in high winds. My suggestion here is to thread the loop through the grommet as you have showed, but then run the rope through the loop, and back toward your tie point. This saves having to untie the knot, as you can just leave the loop for next time when you take down the tarp. Then just moderately tighten the tarp, to allow it some "give" when the day gets blustery. All that having been said: the summer is full of fine days and gentle breezes. On the pleasant days, this set-up would be a perfectly useable (and time-saving!) go-to. Thanks for sharing the concept!

@@adreabrooks11 great points! For #2, I've gone through heavy wind and rain without any stick coming loose. In fact, at tear down, sometimes it's a struggle to loosen the stick- it hugs down tight! As to #1- that's exactly what I did here! My ridgeline is a 150' rope running the fill length of the tarp! Wouldn't do a ridgeline any other way!

Everyone living through this is so brave and strong. When I had TN it was like living in a nightmare. I completely fell apart and by a few months in I wanted to end my life - who wants to live a life of constant excruciating pain. Living through this takes so much strength and bravery, I hope everyone here can stay strong. You’re all warriors.

I have TN but it’s in remission. I live in constant fear that the pain will come back. I’ve read that TN is cyclical. I honestly don’t think I’m strong enough to go through that again. I lived through this for 7 months and it was devastating - I got attacks every week or so, and they lasted 3-4 days of constant pain that never lets up. I would try to stand it, and I’d last for 3 days before I completely lost it and couldn’t stop screaming. This illness is so terrifying and almost impossible to live with.

I am 30yrs old, recently i learnt on my own through the internet abour TN. I am afraid to go to a neurologist, surgeries, And medications. I was a very social person, Very useful to those around me, now they dont understand my sudden change. I cant talk much and loudly, Here is kenya, we dont have equipments for surgery, personally and my family we cant afford such amount for surgery and treatment. Am now looking at a dark painful future. I dont know how my life will be affected. I am learning quickly how to adjust to the pain and avoiding triggers.. My worst fear is the fact that i have longed so much to be an evangeslist. But now with this condition i can imagine i cant be able to talk with people. I cant generate money. I cant encourage those who are hurting. I know life will be difficult. I need To Do Gods work, support my young family. Encourage those who are sick and painful like me. I will never give up on Gods work in as much as i will not be very effective. But God will help me! For those of us suffering, lets give our lives to christ, he is our only hope, he will give us stress free life and give us courage to live with pain. God bless

In the year 2022, i was under severe stress, there was less sleep. When under stress & no proper sleep, then started this problem in my right side of the face feeling like mouth ulcers inside the mouth near wisdom teeth. Consulted ENT doctors 3 visits, then referred to Dental Doctor, then referred to Neuro surgeon. Even then he said there is no problem. My journey continued visiting different doctors & clinics. Finally it stopped after 5 months of roaming to hospitals & clinics with this unbearable pain. In the year 2024, in January month i underwent a gum recession filling, after a month of doing this unbearable pain started to kill me every moment. It's really painful in live with this pain. Underwent MRI of brain which shows everything normal. Doctors are advising to go for only scanning, no one is identifying the real cause. God has to cure my suffering. I pray to God that nobody should get this pain. Difficult to live with this pain.

Like she said...the pain brings you to your knees, its teŕrible. But..after paying a lot of attention to my body, I discoverd that the pain has to do with my shoulder and neck. Doctor said impossible, but I found a therapist willing to try. She did not know what tn is and just started pushing and kneading whatever. I was black and blue the next day, but that night I was able to sleep a few hours. From there I started to do exercizes and taking care of the way I sit and hold my body. No more slouching in a chair watching netflix. Life is much better now. There are still days I cannot eat or talk, but its bearable. My doctor said I had to learn to live with the pain.... I know there are many people suffering and needing an operation. But when nothing helps, the maybe the cause is the shoulder or neck.
@joannmarshall78696 ай бұрын
I appreciate this reply as I too have been living with TN pain for years. I notice if I slouch especially in a chair the pain is so much worse. Sometimes it only takes minutes of sitting crooked or sitting on my foot sideways in a chair and the pain of a normal 4 becomes a more painful 6 or seven and I quickly change the way I sit. My neurologist no longer wants to increase my meds to cover break through pain… as I’m on a high dose already of 700mg three times a day. Some times this pain is almost unbearable… I struggle often to sleep and just can’t get out of this cycle of pain. But as you said, keeping the neck and shoulders straight helps some.

Right before I got diagnosed I had sever shoulder and neck pain I went to see a chiropractor they told me I was so inflamed in my neck area that I need to see him another 2 times that week to follow up …. I did take him serious but I unfortunately didn’t have the money to do so many treatments I wish I did though because the next week I got an ear infection that persisted and then the infection spread to my nerves and has since caused trigeminal neuralgia here I am 4minths later still haven’t seen a chiropractor bc I was scared too ale it worse but tbh it’s my next best option my neck and shoulder are still very stiff ….. I am going back to see them soon anyway if anyone read this I hope you too heal from all your pains and find the strength and comfort you need STAY SANE YOUVE GOT THIS 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍💗🫶🏼
