Healing came about through not becoming slaves of other European explorations such as the Dutch, French, Germans and believe it or not the Americans whose whaling expeditions and selling of muskets to Maoris may not have played a pivotal role in peace and harmony. Additionally if it hadn't been for those colonists introducing rugby union with your hakas and bi-lingual anthems, retaining your language in Kendall Dictionaries and your traditions supported by that evil Sir George Grey who recorded them, but becoming acquainted with a language that is universally spoken I would doubt if Maori had have succeeded to the extent they now do except for the "patched brigade" who seek all that love and attention. We don't have memorials either to the Moriori who pre-settled the Land of the Long White Shroud before their Polynesian brothers appeared on the scene.

Did the earlier volcanic zones for Northland and Coromandel change their orientation and position with plate tectonics because they used to be where the Taupo volcanic zone is now?

This is done by the same company who brought us DINOSAURS ALIVE in 2007 & WAKING THE T.REX: THE STORY OF SUE in 2010. Now there’s this new feature coming to cinemas at whatever Museums & Science Centers it might & will premiere on. I better keep a lookout to see where it might be played at. I don’t want to overlook this one compared to the way I accidentally overlooked the 1998 IMAX Film T.REX: BACK TO THE CRETACEOUS years ago. I would give a thing for that to premiere on IMAX again & finally experience it & make up for lost time. But for now, T.REX might be coming soon to Museum & Science Center I know in the Eastern Seaboard. Oh & I heard that Sam Neill the actor from one of the Jurassic Park Films & Narrator of the 2001 National Geographic Documentary feature SuperCroc “Especially actor from the 1994 Live Action Disney version of The Jungle Book.” is narrating this.

I hope those who won't be able to go to the museum still will have a chance to watch this elsewhere.

This is the stuff I used to daydream about as a kid, is there ever gonna be a digital release for those who can't visit the museum where it'll be played? I really can't wait to see this spectacular looking production on screen

What was the explosion like that caused the auckland domain? Compared to a nuclear bomb?
@BruceHayward15 ай бұрын
No nowhere near as big as a nuclear explosion. A series of explosive blasts over several days that may have sent base surges of incineratingly hot gas and ash racing over the surrounding land for up to 3-5 km from the vent.

So interesting - thank you so much for all the information. I would be especially interested in taking care of paper items, such as birth/marriage certificates, letters and postcards, and newspapers. I have most of our family's treasures and feel the need to ensure I protect them and keep them to the best of my ability. Knowledge is key.

This makes so much sense when people say new zealand broke of gondwana not technically, new zealand was a land mass popped out yhecwater caused from layer on layer of volcanes erupting , it always gets me did new zealand break off gondwana or was it created after it was all broken . I like to think new zealand wasn't part of it but it's part of zealandi which supposedly was part of gondwana .
