Hi! I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. We have no immediate plans to offer DC home charging. This is due to the prohibitively high cost of DC chargers. For cars with AC V2G capability, this will enable vehicle to grid at much lower cost.

Hi! Yes, this video shows a demo of Plug&Charge, the technology defined in ISO-15118, and not AutoCharge. All system chargers from Zaptec, Zaptec Pro’s to be exact, from the last three years will be compatible with Plug&Charge technology, as long as your electric car supports the charging format. However, this video shows a Beta Firmware that has not been enrolled yet.

@@gozaptec With low-level charger i mean 22kw max and i wonder if it is even that much anything more would be pretty dumb for that much charger but i wonder how many cars you need to break even on the cost. Anyway i find it funny that you talk about solar powering while everything is covered in snow that is not really convincing. 😅Solar power might be a option but in the winter its like 1% at most.

Then, the offline static balancing takes over. What it does is to see the available power, and the available load between all chargers, and then assign them to use a specific phase. An offline Zaptec Pro can also be assigned 3-phases if enough power is available. If Sense or similar is connected, in most cases, charging is at a minimum, i.e. 6A/1-Phase, because the info on the building consumption is unknown. In other words, charging is still possible if a charger is offline, but it should be connected off course under normal operations.

I am planning on getting one Zaptec Go, how will that one behave if load balancing is offline?@@gozaptec

Need clarification: With one Zaptec GO and Sense with P1 connection, does it use all available power across the 3 phases and take in consideration the current house load for each phase or no?

P1 and HAN have different protocols and physical interfaces, which is why Zaptec Sense HAN will not be able to function with Smart Meters with a P1 port. Zaptec will provide a solution later this year.
