I know that fast air has lower pressure, but the principle about average velocities is not something I had considered as to WHY it’s lower pressure. Less collisions to transfer momentum perpendicular to the flow. Neat!

Modern tv remotes also work like that , but with a IR light wave that is switched on and off at 40 khz which makes an electronic circuit resonate and detect (demodulate) the signal.

. You're not even half done... now demonstrate the reaction when you use harmonic intervals above V.S. below the natural frequency of the passive tuning fork and the cumulative effect of multiples harmonic tones spaced out at... Sorry I get carried away. Thanks for the further explanation of the sonic clicker by the way. I never got to disassemble one of those apart to see exactly how it "hears" the sound and activates the relay. Not sure why the TV repair guy thought he couldn't explain it to me just because I was 6. I was already using the Thomas organ to "ring" the strings on the Guild. .

The non intuitive one is when you keep the wheel vertical but move it 90 deg.
@kriswillems56616 күн бұрын
The momentum of inertia needs to be preserved. The wheel rotates in the opposite direction. So, your speed of rotation needs to increase to keep the same momentum of intertia.

The sum of the forces is equal to change in mass times velocity plus change in velocity times mass?
@paul756uk27 күн бұрын
You'll get an initial reaction in the opposite direction but nothing more because the wheel spinning isnt producing any torque.

I'd assume the reason the forces aren't exactly the same is because the putty on one squished more than the other, displacing a small amount of force away from the sensor?

@yoursofunnyman6 күн бұрын
@@benarcher372 it’s called tidal locking, where the moon is rotating on its axis at the same time it takes it to orbit earth. It’s a common phenomenon for moons to be tidal locked to their planets. There are pictures of the “dark side” of the moon, taken by a lot of NASA and Soviet Union mission. Although “dark side” is a bit misleading and inaccurate as it does receive sunlight haha
